  • 41070, is that my cealeal number? realy, i don't know, but i bet the way things work these days some random internet person dose.

  • Good qeashtion, it dooose look like it belongs in a 8 hour movy:)

  • Where to buy this full footage?

  • I chalange you all to stand on bourd a ship of any kind during a full class hurican with 380 mph winds and 140 ft waves and the current contrary, and in that moment shout above the wind, that their is no God!

  • @me41070 I challenge you to get a grasp on reality. no hurricane has 380 mph winds. the highest on record was still under 200mph. as for 140 ft waves, the largest wave on actual record (Draupner wave) was approx 84 ft. granted their have been a few guessed at waves 100 ft or more but no ship would survive sustained 140 ft waves

  • i love this video really nice video

  • the captain must feel like a boss

  • A mar! :)

  • can the wave go over the whole boat and instantly sink it?

  • HUD ON, ERS A BIG EEN COMMIN!

  • While being on an (ocean going) tug, crossing Lake Superior ~ the Captain (my then spouse) ~ announced a severe storm approaching. I was so exited to be part of it ~ and ~ got my camera. I lasted about 20 minutes when I got overwhelmed by seasickness. After many devastating hours, I begged to be thrown overboard, just to stop the rolling ;o)

Great Video! And ~ I still love everything around heavy duty tug-boats :o)

  • See?? Just don't ever complain about bad turbulence in an airplane again. The main difference, of course, is the speed that the aircraft enters the rough air. On a boat it is a lot slower with more gentle rolling actions, although the G force effects last longer.

  • if i saw a wave id bee like oooooooooooooo ffffffffff

  • This is from BBC's documentary named 'Oceans'. Nice!

  • I hope the bilge pumps are working.

    Terrifically beautiful!

What would be, if “Oasis of the Seas” got into such storm?

    Schrecklich schön!

Was würde sein, wenn “Oasis of the Seas” in solch einen Sturm geriete?

  • needless to say...at this point, the whole ship was nothing more than a vomitorium for the crew on board.

It's really hard to see the scale of waves in these vids, unless you've been around ships.

  • best place to build card house..

  • A New Zealand vavy frigate captain recently complained about a massive storm his ship faced in Antartic waters. They lost bits and pieces of equipment off the side of the ship due to the waves, including, the captain wrily pointed out, the stern light.

  • Amazing footage and great quality more please :)

  • try to take a bath while in such storm :D

  • wow, i would of love to of been on that

  • @aahuggett id bet ! in your dreams you would be scraming like a baby unless you been at sea for years ! The sea can do strange things to a man.

  • It just shows what it can be like, out there.

    It can even be worse!

  • LOL....that destroyer looks like a one legged man in an ass kicking contest going up those big waves. But you know they're built to take that kind of weather.

  • Fear, courage, sea fury, power, beauty, the unknown...

This is what this video is all about: the sea terrible beauty and the man.

Great great shooting, thank you for posting.

  • No f**king thanks.

  • @newsense87 My sentiments exactly.

  • I like the part with all the water.

  • No sorry. I got it wrong. Somewhere else on Youtube is another tug. This one is French

  • Brilliant Schirello!

Unbelievable film if you had never seen it before.

There seems to be a mixup with the tugs names. The first tug is, I think is Portuguese, while the second one is the Abeille bourbon. The superstructures are quite different.

Thank you very much for posting Schirello

  • wtf ?? that last scene is awesome !! Never seen that before !

  • Awesome footage

I love the scene at 1:10 if the ship were going faster it would have caught some air time.

  • Fantastic footage. Nice to see some high quality video in these conditions.

  • 1:06 absolutely fantastic scene.......

  • I may be wrong but this is part of a French movie called "Ocean" by Jacques Perrin (a movie dedicated to the ocean, that is). Incredible footage anyway!

  • I agree, this is a very magnificant movie you have found here schirello, Wish there was more of movies like theseon youtube. I like it, very good shots and so on. Studying to become a ship captain as that is my dream to become a ship captain one day or at least work at sea on the bridge. I have been in Brittany, Brest where Abeille Bourbon has it homeport. Beautiful ship and even more impressive in action like on your movie. :)

  • incredible video, respect to those sailors who dare to put up with mother nature's oceans (or seas) and survive to tell the tail ... btw 1:08 i bet prop went outta water...engine room would of been going nuts

  • @schumy90 in fact, the engines dosen't explode due to high RPM while the ship propeller is over the water surface because a computer stops the engines from doing that.

  • @Navigationbridge i know that but you say you are studying to become a ship captain(officer as a start),are you in a marine educational system now? if so,maybe professors may have forgotten to tell you never to relly on computers on board a ship, never know when one can brake down y'know? especially on those seas.cheers and good luck from a fellow marine student :) ;srry for the bad english

  • @schumy90 I know, I can't totally trust on the computers on board the ship, I know how to navigate on the seacard and so on. No, I'm not in a marine educational system yet, only studying for "Coastal Yacht Skipper Exam", going to do a test on that soon before I start with my first professional marine education. All this to easier come in to the Marine Educational school next autumn to Stockholm Archipelago captain course. Takes 2 year, after that I will apply for the Ship captain high school.

  • @Navigationbridge educational system is a bit different here but all in all it's the same thing.im second year at "Mircea cel Batran" Naval Academy,Romania, where we do 4 years of studying and training, during which we can embark as cadets on merchant ships.after finishing the academy we can start going up the ranks (third officer, second officer, first officer and so on).best of luck my friend and who knows...maybe will meet on the same ship

  • @schumy90 ok, yeah, who knows, maybe we meet on the same ship. Why dont you add me on msn?

  • @schumy90 I just graduated from maritime school ,my major is navigation,I will embark the OOCL's vessel as a cadet next year, I learned that you will embark?
