  • @AwakenedSamus you know what the one thing both miami of the 80's and usc of the 2000's have in common? They were battling Oklahoma for supremacy, Boomer Sooner!

  • WHY are people talking about Miami?

  • Love every moment of this game. Saw it and enjoyed it all night. The following year, Penn State came back with all those 5th year seniors and shut down #1 Miami in the Fiesta Bowl and won the National Championship. That's Joe Pa for ya!

  • Another awesome blast from the past!!!

  • The wishbone is God's offense.

  • Keith Jackson is God's tight end.

  • yea, too bad Penn State won the National Championship the following year. They were the modern day USC

  • Quickness from the QB position bothered Penn State defensive teams alike OU. Rod Gerald beat them in 1976. Don McPherson and Major Harris for example in the 80's and 90's. Miami had Vinny T but he liked to throw mostly and that was easy pickens for the Lions.

  • I am a Husker, but there is something fun about watching Switzer's teams running the wishbone. How it beat up too many times arg.

  • take away miami (fla)(85 and 86 reg season and 88 orange) and they would have had 3 straight undefeated seasons and 3 nat'l titles.

  • DO WE KICK ASS OR WHAT

  • More like lick ass.

  • No you ran into a different type of program with superior athletes never seen before, the U.

  • OU > Miami

  • Yes, Switzer had the best 'backs, but the 'Bone still deserves to be used by SOMEONE!

  • Now the trick questions is, how did Penn State beat Miami? Yes the team was loaded with talent and cash.......... j/k.

  • Simply put, an unfocused U?

  • well put!

  • Great video.

    Thanks!

    George Vreeland Hill

  • Dante was bringing the wood.

  • the difference in speed is amazing.

  • Wow the linebacker we had Brian Bosworth, Dante Jones and Paul Migliazzo. That may have been the best ever at OU at one time.

  • I was 4 back then and had "the Boz" haircut... was a great team, though.

  • Barry Switzer, Brian Bosworth, Keith Jackson, Jamelle Holieway, Troy Aikman(on the bench)... Lots of great names.

  • Awesome work. Thanks for the vid. That OU team was loaded.
