  • I had this :D It really was tough!

  • This game is incredibly hard. Just staying on the track for an entire lap is a major achievement!

  • important to remember the A3010/A3020 ran the ARM CPU 50% than the A3000. Still an impressive game, similar performance to an 030 25/33mhz Atari/Commodore game. Not bad at all for the £399 A3010 anyway :)

  • deluxe version as well i think

  • I had this, and to be fair its desperately hard. I used to love the very slow crack of the windscreen as your head hit the windshield.

  • Oh I loved this game! I'm proud to say I managed to get a Sierra, was chuffed with myself when I learnt that you could take Ray Swinner out of the tournament just by repeatedly smashing into the back of him during qualifying, meaning he couldn't continue.

They just don't make them like they used to...

  • Class game. Managed to get the BMW once but never as far as the Cossies. Nostalgia!

  • Looks like a good game but your driving is like mine absolutley dreadful. Too call it dire is a compliment lol.

  • gosh what an awful lap - reminds me of my dufus brother and his shocking 'reverse gear' fetish.

come on Sir Stirling - get a grip and use the keyboard like real men

  • best racing game i've ever played

  • In my miss-spent youth I managed to get the Sierra on this game - Anyone know of an emulator on the PC? I'd love to have another go on it!

  • best played with 2 people controlling thats the best success i had, still not good

  • Best played with the mouse for steering. Very tricky though but worth it. I always thought of TOCA Touring Cars on the PS1 to be the spiritual successor to this game.

  • Glad real driving isn't this hard

Loved my Archimedes but what was with the always garish colours they chose - at least it was distinct i guess

  • Well unfortunately the Archimede boasted 256 colours from a 4096 palette, but it was not eactly true.

You could choose 64 colours and then automatically you had for tints for each colours.

Programmers decided to keep the 'by default' palette, leading to strange looking games.

  • Interesting thanks for that

  • OOps I wrote 4 but it's 'four' and then I should have said 3 tints from the 64 chosen colours, which gives a total of 256. (64 chosen and additional 3*64 not chosen).

Fortunately this was removed with the Risc Pc where you can choose freely the colours from the (wider 24 bits) palette.

  • Right you are, thanks again

  • Is a child driving this car? Look at these hands :D

  • i loved this game!

i could do this track without taking my finger off the accelerator!

  • always used to overcook that bend after the dipping hill.

  • OMG I remember this! I loved this when it came out, you even had to start your car... WOW! You look as good as I was mate, differcult to control on arrow keys wasnt it?

  • Stunt car racer on the amiga, anyone? :)

  • This game was the shit back in the day but I never could get the red car.

  • I tried my best! :(

  • Haha, and I thought I was bad at it.

You didn't show the wonderful headbutt-the-steering-wheel when you crash though!

  • Wow thats better than GT IV and a bet more of a sim :)
