I heard these in the store 2 days ago. Im not exactly sure if it was the minis or the maxis actually, but they sounded really great. I'm price matching at the moment and will be picking up a set of the maxis soon. To me they sound a lot better then the audioengine 5's and have a lot more features and dedicated iPod dock.

@slugnbozo These blow the A5's away. The comparison you should be making is the A5 vs Aktimate Mini. And to answer that question, the Mini's win.
