@AmericanDroid obviously not much of a drum guy, french/german is how far up or down your hands/palms are turned. If the thumbs face up more, it's french, and if the top of your hand faces up, its german. It goes alot more in depth than that, but thats the general idea.

It's almost impossible to play more precise than this. I've been watching a lot of the USC videos and they're very good. I actually prefer this disciplined style much more. No extra movements, just killer drumming.

I agree. Maybe it was early in the season. I marched in drum corps cymbal lines. Even a Division II that could destroy this cymbal line. It all depends on the instructor though.
