Keep an open mind. NASA, still can't explain why the moon photo landings show the flag rustling. Poignant as they do state there is no atmosphere or atmospheric pressure.

@vhfgtiuoiu true enough, but if you have the right coordinates you are supposed to still be able to see the U.S. flag on the surface of the moon with a decent telescope, so I don't know. I wouldn't put it past our government to lie about that, however.

@vhfgtiuoiu Keep in mind you are quite ignorant. They HAVE explained why the flag is waving. They put a horizontal bar into the flag, and the rotation impulse of them turning the flagpole left and right, and mounting the horizontal bar, transfered of course also to the flag. Result: A waving flag in vacuum.

Firstly it's an asteroid. Which will pass by very close to Earth in 2029, and return 2036. If in 2029 it passes through a gravitational keyhole, it Will hit Earth in 2036 - unless destroyed. Firstly Lightyears away would mean in another solar system - ours is a few lightmonths in radius at best.

@vhfgtiuoiu Probably. It's fairly huge, and will pass closer than communication satelites. It will most certainly be visible with a telescope or binoculars. So will the asteroid that's going to pass 280km from Earth whis November.
