Wow im impressed I never watch a full nearly 30min video, I love the way you go indepth in your reviews. Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into them it really does show.
Hey, just came across your reviews. Great job!!!! I usually don't even comment on you tube, but its nice to finally find a review place where the reviewer isn't one of two sides of the spectrum.....Either bought off by the companies that make the bike, and cant stop talking about how great EVERY bike is......or, on the other side, the guys who just want to show off the stuff they tacked on their own bike, but don't know what they're talking about. Great Job guys
@robpetry84 Thank You! Print Magazines (in the US) aren't bought off, I've worked for them. With the economic situation you might see a company working hard for a company who advertises with them - it"s hard to get advertising now and everyone wants to survive, so some rules are being bent. We've done a lot with BMW as they have included us in their press events and more. The truth is still the truth and this is what we report. Maybe this is why we don't have any advertisers. :)

@eurofighter47 Can't remember the top speed - not too high. The KLR has little power up top. Cruising speed 70 or so. From here on up passing gets ify as the power is weak. I'm on a BMW G650GS right now and I'm immediately impressed at the power available at 70 and 80 mph -trumps all over the KLR. MVR
@Mike82ARP A must for this bike (any and all KLR 650s) is a set of heavier fork springs - the number one thing to do to this bike. Progressive Suspension used to make these, I'm sure they still do. A fork brace wouldn't hurt after this. The forks are just way to flexible and soft. MVR
@rkrayton2000 Thank you, Thank you! More videos this week than you can shake a stick at (whatever that cliche means) Lots of Shut Up And Ride episodes coming as well as our Barstow to Vegas movie. YouTube just set us up with being able to post long videos so we may edit B to V before we post it. Make sure you check out Shut Up 2 - a night ride on the R1200GS. MVR

Thanks for the set of videos. I wanted to know what is the top speed of KLR-650 and what was your crusing speed while you were making this trip?

A great set of vids. Thanks.
Do you recommend a fork brace on the KLR if one is going to do a lot of off-road?

Can tell me what video camera you are using and how you have your mic set up? The sound is very clear without a lot of background noise.
