I used to think a lot about my own funeral. People would be exaggerating if they said I did anything remarkable. But I lost one of my closest friends recently, who was in her 20s. The priest and everyone else talked about how she was kind. I realized I need to stop caring about my fame, career, money or social status, because those things are not relevant to God, and they should not be relevant to us when we've passed on.
