  • what kinda of camera .. we can use like sony .... if u go under sony camera they dont tell manual install or no.. so how we know what to buy???

  • how do u change shutter speed?

  • nicely done!!

  • cool. I am working on a light painting vid now. it should be around 3 min and over 1000 pics. Should be ready in another month.

How many fps is this one?

  • this is probably around 5fps... way lower than it should be, but didnt think enough into it when filming... its around the 20 fps+ mark, where a stop-motion / time-lapse will be more believable.

  • @mattdolnik it's 8 fps

  • Very nice. I use a tripod, flashlight, and a xsi :D

  • SICK SON...

  • i have one question how do u blend out the person holding the light?

  • generally it was a 5 second exposure... 2 seconds of the flashlight on, then turn off the light and run out of the camera view for the remaining 3 seconds(allowing the background light to be dominant)

  • awesome! i agree with Curtissimpson, that was pretty trippy :)

  • That must have taken a while. That was pretty much trippy as hell. Awesome job!

  • WOW,,,THAT WAS AWESOME ^.^ 5*

  • is that bear crek park i live near there

  • Ok... i see that some pic are being taken... are they all pics or videos???? do you use a certain program or just set your camera the rigth way?

  • all seperate pictures... just some thought behind the "animation" of where the light goes

  • HOW DO YOU DO?

    OMO LO HACES?

    n_n

  • hw do you do that?

  • awesome job!!

  • Saw this and it inspired me to make a pop video using LIght Painting effects... Laura Critchley Sometimes I... Thanks for the inspiration! Andrew

  • Great idea. I've done the flashlight thing before, but always from behind the camera. Never tried and animation either! Congrats!

  • Thats. amazing

  • Those Phantoms make it freaky.

  • rock on! that is awesome! very excellent.

  • Wow! Great job.

  • cool! i'd wondered how to make stuff like that! very nice!

  • you dont say..... interesting

  • nice matt! Had not noticed this one...

  • damn this is soooooooooooo tight!!

it makes me wanna do something like this and i prolly will!

  • how did you do that?? i need to know!!!

  • I "sort of" explained it in the info... you know if you take a long exposure with a camera (ie: 5 secs) and wave a flashlight in front it will make a streak of light... i just took that idea, but made the streak of light move a little bit at a time and ALOT of patience, that took 4 hours of nonstop work

  • how bout the moving camerawork?? looks handheld?

  • used a tripod for the whole thing... where the camera is moving... again... patience, i took a picture, moved the tripod an inch, took a picture, moved an inch, etc...

  • That was prettttty badass man. Nice stopmotion too.

I just ordered my Rebel XT and I want it sooo bad! D:

  • that was pretty dope.

  • hey man...that was badass
