Needs to be louder , on the exit you can play that at 12 and 14 if your in dropped tuning , makes it much easier and smoother . Also where is the low drops at the beginning . Get in your groove man and don't let your friends there in the background distract you . Hang in there and keep on pluckin !

Thanks man, yeah it should have definitely been louder, the tuning is ADGCF not GDGCF, so there'd be no way to do the one fret ending that you're referring to, you can see that in the "Korn Blind Music Video", and those low bass drops at the beginning are David Silveria's 808 drum pads, and not Fieldy's bass. if ur a hardcore korn fan and you really wanna play korn songs on bass, then pick a 5-string, if not then 4-string. it doesn't really matter if ur a beginner or not.

If you want to start playing the bass, just go to a musicstore and test some basses. You will see whether a 4- or a 5-string will fit better to you.

You can't say 4-strings are better to begin with oder 5-strings are better. It's just a matter of taste.

But if you want to play stuff like KoRn or similar bands then you should pick up a 5-string, because of the deep tones.

The K5 rocks man, you can do anything on that bass if you're into different styles. Incubus, and 311 sound great on it as well. it's got that preciseness and punch, and great tone. I recommend it but only if you can afford it. If not, get a SR405 or SR505 or something. I personally think basses can only get so great for a person. I love warwicks, but i'd rather have an ibanez to save a few thousand dollars. But that's just me. Nick and I are both satisfied Ibanez users. Ibanez 4 Life!

How Fieldy gets his sound = You need a 5 string bass. Mess with your amp EQ's by turning bass up and treble up, but mids completely off. Tune bass down a full step. So 5th string "B" will now become an "A", and do that to all strings a full step down. 4 string bass won't work, that means "E" down to an "A" and by that time all the strings won't have notes, just plop plop sound. To get the click + bass notes under it.

5 string bass + mids off, bass/treble/up on amp + tune down full step. The End.

Nick, the one playing in the video, actually had the SR405, before he bought the K5, I know that the SR505 sounds good also, You can definitely get that sound with the SR505, just follow what i typed above and i'm sure, you can get it close if not perfect. Need a good sounding amp though.

explain, what's wrong? The only thing wrong is the ending. If you can't hear the tone on a low 5 string, when trying to learn a song, it's best to use a guitar to find the notes first, and that's how it was learned back in the 90's when Nick learned it. The verse is D then to A# on the 5th string, alot of people think it's a D then to D#, but that's incorrect. So what is really really wrong?
