But the way, I'm a born-again servant of our lord Jesus Christ. I'm not an atheist or just another close-minded cynic who mocks something I don't understand. I have missionaries in my family. I've extensively studied this stuff. It took my mom 20 years to finally accept that the Prosperity Gospel is a fraud, only after losing her house & Oral Roberts University ruined her credit and she saw the scams first hand. It may also surprise you to know that I believe in healings just not the fake ones.
The prosperity gospel may initially look like the gospel but please, take a moment to step back & ask yourself if it is align with the same gospel that Christ taught. The actors on stage preach from the bible to appear credible. They say 'hallelujah", they sing gospel songs, they dance, they pray, & they take up a collection. Jesus was ADAMANT about sending the HOLY SPIRIT and our need as Christians to have Him in our lives. From attending & helping at a few of Hinns conventions, Ive seen how workers, Hinn & attendees were. Most attendees I interacted with were there for a "feeling" rather than to know God. There is a difference. Being in christianity for your own profit, (rather its to feel good or line your bank account) is not true christianity.
The Holy Spirit makes the difference in a christians life. You dont need to PAY anyone to find out. Read all the scriptures about the Holy Spirit. Look for God, not a "feel good temporal" experience.
I am a pastor of a church with a budget of about $80K per year. I recently traveled for 3 days and the church picked up the bill: about $300 (.375% of the annual). Benny Hinn's ministry brings in $250 million a year according to this video. If he spent the same percentage on his 3 day trips that would total $937500. He doesn't even spend a tenth of that. And the video points out how horrible he is for spending $2400 on tips. Sounds generous to me!
I believe that there are many people out there who are cheated by these false prophets but ashamed to come out in the opened to expose them. You know, these prophets know that too. So come out all and expose them to prevent more people from being cheated.

The bible says that Jesus healed all who were sick, accept in his own hometown where he could do no mighty work because of their lack of faith. If faith healed us then a lot more people would be healed! I once prayed for a guy in a coma whom the doctors said would be a vegetable if he lived. He wasn't even a christian and I had no faith that he would be healed. I just did what I thought God wanted me to do. However, it is also important for Christians to be good representatives of God in our actions and choices. I understand that many Christians want to look righteous for the sake of pride, but conducting ourselves in a way that shows an underlying heart for God is part of our calling.

Again, "prosper" means to be happy. But the fact that millions of poor but good-hearted Christians continue to insist year after year that God wants us to be (financially) "rich" yet they never see the big "financial harvest" says far more than our individual opinions & optimistic interpretations of ancient scripture ever could. That's not true, in fact, he has spoken about giving from our blessings to others. And, if you had a ministry, 1/2 as large as this, you'd see for yourself, that you have to preach seed giving just in order to keep your ministry going. We live in a real world, where even if you are a minister, let alone a tv evangelist, it is high cost to keep such going.

I must agree 10,000 dollar for a night in Europe most expensive hotel and $4,000 for meals in a plush restaurant. You also have over a million a year to maintain a first class jet. The prosperity gospel may initially look like the gospel but please, take a moment to step back & ask yourself if it is align with the same gospel that Christ taught. The actors on stage preach from the bible to appear credible. They say 'hallelujah", they sing gospel songs, they dance, they pray, & they take up a collection. I've been to healing crusades, I worked next to ORU's 'Mabee Center' where these events took place. I worked at a restaurant there for two years & yes I personally saw THOUSANDS of disappointed cripples leaving these events completely heartbroken. Faith was not their problem. The problem was much like Oral himself, it was all a fraud. Now I'm an entertainer here in Vegas & we have hypnotists here doing similar stunts (but without the God angle.) I understand your upset. But Benny Hinn IS a FAKE.

The prosperity gospel is a scam that boils down to, "If you give ME money, then GOD will give YOU money." It's simply an old carny trick. The only people that benefit from it are those who peddle it. Do you think God's up in Heaven with a calculator notating who sent Benny Hinn a check? Lets be realistic. Not everyone will live the life of Abraham. If you want money EARN it. I understand where you're coming from that you believe that Benny might be doing the lord's work but if you watch the YouTube series "The Many Faces of Benny Hinn" it will help you understand what is happening here. It is not anointing unless the bible is wrong of course. Christ was clear on how to spot false prophets and those who twist his words to line their own pockets. The Prosperity Gospel only benefits those who preach it. The healings are fake, the prophecies are fake so it can't be God.

Not only have medical conditions worsened, but people have DIED from stopping medical treatment, believing a miracle had healed them. Evengelicals aren't just goofy or delusional; this is dangerous.
Any belief system that says it only works if you have enough "faith" to believe it without question is OBVIOUSLY a trap. If you aren't healed, 'obviously' you didn't have enough faith. It's a psychological trap for men like Hinn to prey upon the weak-minded and, of course, their donations

1) The poor people who desire so very badly to be healed they will even put their faith in a man. Then spend near all their money to gain the favour of that man, so he will heal them - when in fact he can't!!!
2) The Lord God of Israel Who in fact can and does still heal.

Since this is right, how much better to follow someone else? Follow Christ, take up the cross, square your chin, set your face as flint and go to Jesus! Jesus was ADAMANT about sending the HOLY SPIRIT and our need as Christians to have Him in our lives. From attending & helping at a few of Hinns conventions, Ive seen how workers, Hinn & attendees were. Most attendees I interacted with were there for a "feeling" rather than to know God. There is a difference. Being in christianity for your own profit, (rather its to feel good or line your bank account) is not true christianity.

I am a pastor of a church with a budget of about $80K per year. I recently traveled for 3 days and the church picked up the bill: about $300 (.375% of the annual). Benny Hinn's ministry brings in $250 million a year according to this video. If he spent the same percentage on his 3 day trips that would total $937500. He doesn't even spend a tenth of that. And the video points out how horrible he is for spending $2400 on tips. Sounds generous to me!

Wow!!! I watched the video and I was amazed at the people that did not get to see Benny Hinn because he was busy making a show of it!!! The bible says that Jesus healed all who were sick, accept in his own hometown where he could do no mighty work because of their lack of faith. Believe me, Benny Hinn cannot say that there is a lack of faith in his audiences.

If faith healed us then a lot more people would be healed! I once prayed for a guy in a coma whom the doctors said would be a vegetable if he lived. He wasn't even a christian and I had no faith that he would be healed. I just did what I thought God wanted me to do. He sat right up out of the coma as soon I said the name of "Jesus"!I beleive waht lukenci says. sometimes God heals for his purpose amd sometimes he does not heal for his purpose.

I grew up being taught what 130 believes, and I can't tell you how many times I thought God failed me because He didn't answer my prayers...sadly, I didn't know the truth, and many today don't know the truth. People think if God doesn't heal a cripple, then either his faith wasn't strong enough...or God doesn't exist...if they read what Jesus said about it, it would all make sense.
