Love it! I summered in Blue Hill over 40 years ago, went back to the bridge last year for the first time, nothing has changed :). I used to watch spellbound as seals and red jellyfish with foot-wide bells slipped under the bridge on the incoming tide. Am now a surfer and I watched the wave on the outgoing tide and want to ride it.
Did the man in blue give you a hard time about attaching a rope to the bridge?

you can ride it in a play boat should be at least a 10ft tide though to be good.

Every high tide...for about two or three hours....starting about 4o min.s after the tide switches. Moon cycle has an effect as well.
