  • (I just posted a video response from my time on Lake George). Thanks again for your surfing vid.

  • Love it! I summered in Blue Hill over 40 years ago, went back to the bridge last year for the first time, nothing has changed :). I used to watch spellbound as seals and red jellyfish with foot-wide bells slipped under the bridge on the incoming tide. Am now a surfer and I watched the wave on the outgoing tide and want to ride it.

Did the man in blue give you a hard time about attaching a rope to the bridge?

  • you can ride it in a play boat should be at least a 10ft tide though to be good.

  • Well, sorry folks! Without the music of Van Halen, The Clash, Jon Spencer, The Zutons and Holy Fuck, this is just no fun to watch. Maybe I can post it elsewhere and then put the link here. If I get to it.

  • that wave is a joke i have been there, it is barely even rideable in old school yak.

  • love it. how often is it ridable. i wanna come and give it a wirl

  • Every high tide...for about two or three hours....starting about 4o min.s after the tide switches. Moon cycle has an effect as well.

  • Wicked!
