In respect to the Queen's Campus political scene, the Liberals have the most active support, followed by the Conservatives. The NDP is actually close to non-existent, and the Conservatives are arguably more organised (at least in terms of Student events) than the Queen's Liberals, who are more involved in the federal government.
To alleviate some or much of the ignorance(or try to) from the comments in this thread, I will contribute the following background information:
- You are allowed to choose your party at this event.
- People choose their party for the lawlz. A fair number of members in the BLOC and NDP at this event were actually very fiscally conservative in real life; ie. the kind of people who are the executive on the Queen's Campus Conservatives.
- The NDP is extremely disorganised on Queen's Campus.
HAHAHAHAHA, if you went to the School, you'd know the Art students in the school are hardly Queen's ace students. In fact its mostly filled with the students who couldn't make it into the schools real faculties like Eng, Nursing, Commerce, Life Sci, Kin.
All I am saying is we don't send people with Art's degrees into space...... something to think about.
Only people with worthless degrees (aka won't make any money) have the time to participate in something as worthless as this. It shouldn't be surprising most of these losers are NDP supporters.
@AfterShock89 Just thought you might like to know... parties for this are originally assigned at random. Switching of parties is done primarily because of the student leaders that take position in each party. It is not a reflection of students' political affiliations or loyalties but rather their support of a fellow student leader. This conference does provide insight into the Canadian political process but is also meant to be FUN. Sorry that concept was lost on you.
@Coldpepper i didn't claim anything, but many of claimed it to reflect how educated individuals support the NDP. Which is a joke. And what I said was these students are the most academically inadequate of all Queens students. bitch all you like, just as in all schools, Art students are the bottom feeders. :D !!!!!!
@AfterShock89 Please explain what you mean by "many of claimed"... and maybe try to learn English before you go bashing the so-called "bottom feeders" who are in actuality the ones running the school.

@WestCanuckistan ...... only at the top... and how long are people at the top, and how many people are competing for the top.You could make a gamble.... say... 1 vs 50,000 political "science" major students that one day you'll be the one guy that makes $200,000 for 2-8 years.
Or you could simply get a real degree and make around $100,000 as a lawyer, doctor, vet, Engineer, businessmen every year for the rest of my life. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
..If I had over the minds of the people of Canada with a power over their intellect I would leave them with a legacy...And your Legacy is a repugnant one. A cause in effect which has such a foully magnitude...There are countless misconceptional ideas on how are country should be run
Jim Flaherty” You’re the most beautiful fraud in the world... . Economic development is Sustainable & modernized and with the help of heavily braced & reinforced infrastructure, we could see retaliation to new emerging sectors.
The rise & fall of the conservative party, can you feel the Movement. It’s a green natural step investment. This momentum in turn can bring the proliferation of countless enthuses that promotes Change. The resistance can bring awareness of Ocean solutions and standards of the United States that could possibly create unification to a larger globalized & vastly interconnected society. The instrument of success is ambidextrous and perfectly balanced
I wish the NDP had done a decent job in Nova Scotia. I was so happy when they were voted in, & then they raised provincial taxes & cut education. Now my little sister's school is closing. Thanks for nothing, bitches.
@PaperJoelio I agree. Universities in NS aren't allowed to hire new professors because of the cuts, either. At Dalhousie the Faculty of Architecture is supposed to have about 30 people working in it, but because of the hiring freeze there are only 12. I voted for Dexter and even went to his swearing in of the new cabinet. This is a disgrace.
One thing to remember is that this is a provincial NDP government which is separate from the federal party. NDP govts in Manitoba and BC have done well.
@PaperJoelio I was talking to an NDP member a few years ago back in college, who said he wanted to lower taxes, raise spending on education, and make getting student loans easier, when asked where the money was going to come from he frowned at me and walked away....'nuff said
@PaperJoelio There's a trick played on local governments the world over; I don't know if it's the case in Nova Scotia, but before judging them for raising taxes and making cuts check whether they didn't have their funding from Ottawa cut for being NDP. I understand they've been rather partisan in their funding, to evoke exactly the kind of response you have. Why not contact your representative and ask them to explain themselves? Can't hurt.
