When The Holy spirit comes in you will speak in another tongues, speaking in tougues is the first evident that wil let you know the holyghost came into that person.This is not just a gift for some people, but the bible say's in the book of Act that the Holyghost is for you and your children and for ALL thats AFAR OFF/ that's every body in the world. That haqppened in the Book of Act. Some will have the gift of tougues, speaking in tougues and getting the interpretation, some will have this gift.

i believe that the speaking in tongues that is thought in the bible is when the teacher spoke in his own language and the audience herd it in their own language so their was no need for translation... that was the purpose for "speaking in tongues" and speaking in tongues does not really happen in present times because there is no need for it. hope this is helpful

In Acts 10:45-46 KJV....There is a important portion that clearly lets us know that the Apostles knew the Gentiles received the GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST(*not & I stress *NOT the gift of tongues)...How did they know it(?) For they HEARD THEM SPEAK WITH TONGUES & magnify God.

And lots of believers are asking questions about Speaking in Tongues & there foundational question is wrong! They dive-into the question already saying they said because I didn't speak in Tongues I have not received the Holy Spirit!

The question is positioned wrong! You should ask IN the BIBLE what was the PROOF that one was born of the SPIRIT? & where is that EXAMPLE AT in the BIBLE. We see & know what being born of water is (WaterBaptism) but what about being born of SPIRIT?

Pt.1Being born of the Spirit is the Baptism of the Holy Ghost(BHG) & when it happened they spoke in Tongues. Acts 2:4/10:44-47/19:6

In Mt.3:11 JnTB prophesied Christ would baptize believers with BHG so in Acts 1:5 Christ touched on JnTB's prophecy in Mt.3:11 then in Acts 2:1-4 we see the BHG!

Also after the BHG in Acts 10:44-47 Peter in Acts 11:15-16 explained what took place & used Acts 1:5 which ref. Mt.3:11!

B4 Acts 19:6=BHG Paul in v,4 ref. Mt.3:11 to explain receiving the BHG!

This is not to smite anyone but if we really listen & see the factual evidence THAT people are concerning with rather they have received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit or not. Look at this evidence & know that the Most High is putting these questions in your spirit for a reason.

For people who are REALLY living in REPENTANCE following the scriptures here is what you have IF you have not received the BHG u hv Jn.14:17=The Spirit WITH YOU but *not IN YOU.

Pt.3-Everybody apart of the NEW COVENANT went through having the Holy Spirit with them but NOT in them. So this is not some degrading declaration. However if one is living in REPENTANCE you want RAW answers anyway & the Truth is that even after believing & repenting & even being Water Baptized, just as: The Apostles & those with them in Acts 1:13-15 up until Acts 2:1-4/& ppl in Acts 8:12-16/& Acts 18:24-19:5--> These all were believers who were Baptized & still were NOT born of the Spirit!

Pt.4- And for the sake of TRUTH...Apollos & the disciples who followed him they were living the life Akh...They were living it BUT no one had yet to teach them about receiving the Holy Ghost, but once they were taught about it correctly they were able to receive it.The KEY is knowing about THIS truth(=Acts19:2-4) so that no one can tell you different Bcuz *YOU see it in the Book! Then you hv 2 YOURSELF ask Mashaich for your portion & start seeking him for it ALSO asking the Father Lk.11:13.

Pt.5- Lastly we have 2 remember that REPENTANCE is key to receiving this truth. Bcuz if we saying we believe in Christ & I am learning NO MATTER what like we have to forgive ppl & move on & not smite our oppressors etc. facing our inner issues in prayer following Mashiach's example of forgiving then more FAITH will be released to receive the Holy Ghost(BHG).

& Remember Christ was teaching about receiving the HG in Jn.4 & the woman asked 4 it & Christ pointed to her sin/fornication.

As much as I honor the ministry of the gatherings of Christ.. Dude YALL ministry is off on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit! You guys are dealing with the operation of speaking in Tongues vs. Receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit!

Upon receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit they spoke in Tongues. Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-47 & Acts 19:6.

Seriously I honor the TGC but MANY confuse the gift of tongues with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit that comes with the evidence of speaking in Tongues!

Find "unknown" tongues anywhere in the King James Bible where "unknown" is not italicized. Of course italics in the bible means the word was added.

According to scriptures the gift of tongues is to minister to people who speak another language.

Excellent brothers. I test the spirit by forcing them to confess Christ Jesus came in the flesh like it tells in 1 john 4.  The spirits of anti-christ will not confess this. I know the spirit of god because when He tells me to "listen" and then someone speaks in tongues and another interprets. I have only heard about 6 or 7 real messages in tongues and not a sound is heard while God is speaking.
