  • 57 reissue or 57 hot rod ???

  • Don't hide behind distortion man! Too many players bang on the distortion, to hide behind it. To make it easier to sound good.

Beauty of Richards playing this song, is there's zero distortion, and every note is just pure, and perfect.

  • bonjour .je trouve votre jeu formidable.pouvez vous me faire partager cette tablature ?parce que je m'entraine sans relache sans y parvenir...mille mercis .

  • More Covers pls youre very good E-Guitar player

  • Great guitar cover, you seem to fit right in there with Mick Jagger & the boys. Good luck & hey, you could'nt of picked a better hit to twang to when it comes to the bad boys of pop.

  • YEAH!!!Awesome cover,dude-BRAAAAAAVVVOOOOOO*****

  • Interesting cover. That is a pretty cool way to play it if you were in a trio.

  • excellent cover

  • Great job on one of the quinissetial rock songs of alltime.

  • man.....really really great sound and great playing! you pulle it really off jeah! with the second guitar! thumps up for this!!

  • sounds down and dirty just like the original, awesome!

  • cool strat....could you possibly consider a close up on the fretboard....i need a closer look at some of those riffs....really good though....i'll play that song for the next 20 years and not sound that good

  • Yeah, I just love the sound of the 15" speakers in those amps.

  • This is a great cover really enjoyed it-cheers Richard

  • nice all i can say speach less it was awsome tone is crazy

  • tabs pretty please :D

    awesome cover mate :)

  • Well done .....TALENT

  • I don't think I've ever seen anyone combine both guitar parts (especially since they're in different tunings), but you pulled it off!

  • awesome, good playing!

    very nice guitar too

  • Could you write tab to solo? I would be very grateful...

  • great tone and great playing!

  • Fantastic!

  • Is his left foot playing the drum kit?

  • its called keeping time dumbass

  • pwnt

  • You know I would love to hear one of those Tech 21 Liverpool pedals out in front. How does the amp handle chorus, ds, or overdrive pedals?

  • @myway43

how does it handle overdrive pedals? open your eyes and ears - he's using a crowther hotcake pedal fool!

  • I was primarily concerned how it would handle modulation effects, chorus/delay/flange.

  • Good ,but would be better in open G

  • Geez, dude... if you're gonna do it all yourself, what's the second guitar gonna do????

Seriously though.... I am awed. You are too cool.

  • Yeaahh.. you know how to Rock!!!

  • You make that guitar sing "Brown Shugga!" Awesome!!!

  • Great stuff Jamesy! Can you tell me what that chord is at 0:46? Sounds like 'G', but sitting where it is, it looks 'strange'.

    Sounds great though!

  • You're right - it's just a high 'G' chord. I don't play either 'E' string on this occasion. It also might look funny because I always barre the D, G and B strings with my third finger above the knuckle. (I'm double jointed / lazy)

  • superb mate =D

  • I was about to rip you for not playing this like the original in open G tuning but then it dawned on me that it actually doesn't sound to bad. However, I am curious as to why you just wouldn't play it like the original in open G. I've been playing Stones song for about 30 years and once I switched to open G (about 10 yrs ago) they became much easier to duplicate not to mention some of the nice improv riffs you can add. Still, it sounded pretty good.

  • The lead is gonna be a lot harder in G tuning?

  • No the lead becomes much easier because you're already tuned to the correct scale. Not much lead in this song anyway. Its a blast to play it in open G!

  • Good work guitarjamesy! That is a superb take! I love it.

  • great variations! great performance..!!

  • Hi, is this the 115 or 210? (Good playing, btw:))

  • Opening chords are perfect.

You got it- that is the sound.

    and nice guitar playing.

    Right on !!!!

  • Just got my delta home.. damn the reverb is creamy good.. This is an amazing amp

  • Welp...you've just helped me decide on a set of Texas Specials for my strat. Thanks man!

  • Why did you need a holy grail? This has real spring reverb doesnt it?

  • Yes, but I prefer to use the hall setting on the grail. I never really liked the built-in reverb on my Delta Blues.

You could certainly get a similar tone without the pedal though!

  • Ok.. you helped me decide on this over the hot rod deville.. thanks bro.. great playing too

  • and im stuck with a lowly 1995 fender strat mexican made.

  • @momtotwins07

    mine's a '97!

  • What guitar do you think is the better purchase?

    Stratocaster 57TX or Tokai LS85f??

Im going to buy the strato probably but...uff!

    I love the two

  • Ha! To be honest with you I couldn't pick a favourite (that's partly why I own one of each!). Both are great guitars - I'm sure you'll be very happy with whichever one you choose to buy.

  • Thanks... The Tokai costs to me 60$ more than the Strat, very complicated decision. I bought a Fender Tele 52´ CIJ and its INCREDIBLE

  • indeed, i'm mistaken... i've just red the video info

  • omg! one of the best cover i ever seen in my life! nice guitar and an amazing sound! an american standard stratocaster if i'm not mistaken. wow!

for how long have you been playing?

  • awesome man!

  • Open G dude. That's the way to go.

  • Great!

  • Awesome! Sounds great man. Lovin your gear. I've got a MIJ '57 RI, a Hotcake (I'm in NZ, you kinda have to have one aye) and a Holy Grail too. Looking for a cheapish tube amp, can you recommend the Delta Blues? Is yours 210?

  • excellente!!

  • YUP, try open G tuning

  • freedumb!

  • Dvvero bravo!!!

    W Rolling Stones!!!!

    Ciao!

  • i really like tone u r getting from ur strat..such cool indie sound

  • did you teach yourself the solo? if not can you tell me where to find the tab. if you did write it PLEASE make a video on how to play it!

  • Yeah I did. It's basically a by ear copy of the sax solo so there's no tab. It was entirely off the cuff so I don't know how I'll go reproducing it! Will give it a go and if the result is any good I'll drop a video reply on. Thanks for watching.

  • Amazing!

  • nice!! try open G tuning too..

  • I don't often put comments on youtube unless I'm really impressed. Man, I'm really impressed. Consider yourself favourited!!

  • good playing, man!

  • Sweet man.

  • Nice playing, man. I suggest you either find or start a band.

  • Fucking nice man!!!

  • Brilliant sound, great tone, and very nice playing man!

  • WoW !! 5 Stars. This is a very good cover ! Your sound is cool and you play a combine from Keith and Ron`s part ! Very good.

And you strat looks pretty cool ! Rock on !

  • Vielen Dank! Haha! Mein Deutsch ist auch furchtbar!

  • Great tone.
