U should get the seats off the car and the spare wheel and all the rugs! You save almost 150kg! I've done that to mine onde day and made 8s from 0-60mph! ahah great fun this van!
Sept. 4, 2010 my rear axle snapped in 2 on I-80 going 65mph with my 2 children, brother and his son on the way home from my aunts funeral. I had no warning and I had to cut across 3 lanes of traffic and miraculasly nobody hit us. I though we were going to be killed. There is already a class action law suit on the Ford Windstar Rear Axle snapping and Ford is waiting till Sept 27, 2010 to send out recall letters. Somebody will get killed. Please don't drive your Windstar without getting it check
My mom had one of these 98 3.8s. Great van, to bad she sold it cause she didn't want to drive a minivan forever. So now she has a sequoia. In all of this, Great vans those 1st gen windstars!

windstar is fuel injected correct me if i am wrong but pumping doesn't do anything as it is electronically controlled, correct?
