@7inchesof4skin haha nice, but the guy blocked/hit/caught the ball in the backfield so that would make it blocked punt, thus making it a blocked return (i think)
no defense, no excuse, we would have had to win shootouts against the saints, vikings, then maybe the colts if we had beaten arizona, right now we just have to learn and hope our defense improves.
It's a fumble for sure. Just because his arm was in the air doesn't mean he was into a passing motion, which he wasn't. He fumbled plain and simple. Very careless of him in a critical situation like that. It looks like he has a little bit of Brett Favre in him after all.
You can't call it a tuck rule call, since the ball never hit the ground. Had the ball hit the ground, it would have been an incomplete pass.
Not sure about the facemask, though. Doesn't look as if there's a twist, turn or tug, which are the three possible requirements for it to be a facemask call. Therefore, it shouldn't be called.
An obvious tuck rule call. But it didnt matter because rodgers has a brain freeze and kicks the ball. So it is a pass instead of a fumble. The only place it matters is in the stat books, it should have been ruled an interception instead of a fumble.
Cant really fault the refs there, but you can on the face mask call, and on the illegal blow to the head the play before.
It's just an interception....

If it hit yes it would be a fumble his arm stopped

nope everyone is wrong. the ball was released from rogers hand and then he kicked it.... thus making it punt return

It's an Interception, due to the Tuck rule.
Yeah, the rule sucks, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

tuck rule wouldn't mean anything, the guy caught it before it hit the ground. Tuck rule would just make the fumble recovery into an interception

the ref is staring directly in that direction and doesn't call the facemask.
SteelRaptor24 1 year ago
@SteelRaptor24 think the call would be hands to the face, befor int greenbay ball 1st & 10

Fumble because at the end of the motion he points the ball downward and stops

does nobody see the face mask on Aaron Rodgers

doesn't matter either way the ball never touches the ground, it isn't a matter of tuck rule or fumble. its a matter of fumble or interception

@KuReshtin
Finally someone who actually under stands this rule.
iTzBrayden 1 year ago
@KuReshtin It is a pass though, so it's an interception, not a fumble.
