@wakkawakka101 It's basically a fancy word for "reading your opponent's mind and exploiting it.." Which in this case wasn't very hard. Like 90% of online T Hawks mash SPD constantly, so it was pretty safe to assume this guy was gonna be pushing all kinds of buttons on wakeup every time.
It gets more complicated when your opponent knows what you're going to do to counter something of theirs, so instead of doing the thing you're trying to counter, they do something that counters your counter.
No joke, mazing Yomi skills. One day maybe I'll be able to win a match as Makoto!

This is probably a dumb question, but what is "yomi"? I've heard the term before, but never knew what it meant.

@LostFragment I was with you completely until the 2nd paragraph. Then it felt like I divided by zero.

@wakkawakka101 its pretty simple e.g. if tony hawk expects mario to jump straight up he can do that uppercut thing instead of trying to throw

@LostFragment
And thus the term "yomi layer" was born.

@LostFragment I'd also like to add that "yomi" is derived from the Japanese. "yomu" meaning to read :)
