Brought back memories of doing this ride sole a few years back, but in reverse (KLL to Glencoe) - only time I have gone over my handlebars... don't know how long I was out for, but thankfully I started to hear things again, then see things, then be able to move... thanked God for helmets then got back on my bike and finished the ride! Thanks for posting.
yeah man I see what you mean. If you had passed me I would have been terrified for sure ...................... You guys look like top level mountain bikers - no 2 ways about it.
Why am I having problems viewing this?? It keeps stopping and I have to hit play and then click on the progress bar for it to start again but it stops again after a few seconds... :-(
Rode the WHW at the end of May this year. I remember this section particularly as coming down from the top of the Devils staircase was hectic. Some of the fastest downhill riding I have ever done. Usually a X country and trail rider but decided to just let go. I know it's not proper down hill but it felt like it to me. 5 of us did it and all chuffed to bits we made it in one piece. Don't know about terrorising the walkers but my undies were scared by the end.
Oh man nice vid.. will be riding DS sat morning at 6.ish. operation bail out and let the missus drive round and pick us up at king LL. Got to be done if your driving past it!! Good camera work!!
Great vid! Captures what its all about without fancy editing and irritating music. Awesome route, wish there was something like it in N.I. Makes me want 2 get on the bike and and loose myself.
Hey Stewartyrab midges are well on their way out now - we had our first snow during the week! Now the proper mountainbiking starts! very frustrating as I'm waiting on my broken humerus to heal - another 2 months to go.
hahaha bloody brilliant yer a danger to us walkers lol, done (walked) that section a couple o weeks ago and nearly got killed by the midges they were horrendous.
We were ehading North but that's just because we live in glencoe so it'a a nice round trip for us. You guys should do it North to South if you have the choice. Fort Bill to Kinlochleven mostly downhill and fantastic 1000 ft descent. Ride down devil's staircas and from White Corries to Bridge of Orchy is all downhill, I would't bother with the section South of Crianlarich - go somewhere else better to finish your trip! All the best anyway and get those walkers if you can!
Think I accidently removed your reply - South to North will be just as good, yes it is me laughing all the time. Strangely if you watch the crash compilation on one of my otehr videos I laugh all the time even when I hit the ground! I came off the bike in Morzine 3 weeks ago though and broke my humerus - wasn't laughing then! Cheers

I don't know whats worse, you giving MTBers a bad name, or your riding, which is pretty dire.
