This tune was used as the signature tune for a Family Drama serial on Radio Eireann (Ireland's National radio service) in the 1950s and '60s. It was called "The Foley Family" and starred Peg Monaghan and George Greene as Alice and Tom Foley.

This inspired me to play the piano when I was 9 years old when I heard it played. I eventually started learning this piece at 10 years old.
