Federal Reserve notes ARE monopoly money.  They are worth no more than the paper they're printed on. The Fed keeps trying to (literally) paper over our deficits by expanding the money supply and further devaluing the standing of the dollar until, as Dr. Paul predicts, there will be a huge crisis not only of economics but also of confidence. Then comes the global currency. I hope Paul decides to run in 2012. He is the best hope we have.

Meaning you print money from the reserve based on your country's gold commodotie. Not priniting money based on nothing. Just printing it doesn't make it worth it. Dollar today doesn't get you what a dollar was yesterday. Were as gold gets you more now then what it did yesterday. Paper money is not the answer.
