  • trust me I wouldn't want to live in Canada...its too bloody cold. I grew up in Africa (Botswana) and now I scrape a living teaching guitar to kids in Malawi.

I do like Canadians though...it's a shame they are so close to the US though!

    It can only mean trouble..

where I live protestors get tortured in prisons...so enjoy the right to protest!

  • Our democracy and freedom exists for us as long as our governments wish it to.

  • you have the freedom to stay in the zone!

but any louder than 1 decibel and we'll get the sound cannons out on you!

you also have the right to be photographed and entered into a terrorist database!

the unhappy citizen is the new terrorist, free thinking is now a "thought crime"

    p.s.good video..

  • we need to become a community not a global joke that bankers and wealthy are trying to sell us, THE SKY IS NOT FALLING, but local news, local growers, local stores are being destroyed by global warming, global comunity, global clap trap

  • Why protest democracy? Go to Cuba and Africa IN PERSON to protest their governments. Just because corporations are worldwide doesn't mean they are evil. You buy their products for Christ's sake.

    You guys are clueless.

  • @Zorrachus "why protest democracy?"

    amusing question!

maybe get your head out your a... :-)

you stay at home then it would be better for everyone, leave the humanitarian issues for people who care..

    don't turn that dial!

  • @freddiedread

Like I said, move to Cuba because we sure as hell don't want social fucktards like you in Canada.

  • @Zorrachus

I live in one of the poorest countries in AFRICA my friend :)

I KNOW there is nothing wrong with corporations as a definition. I don't protest capitalism BECAUSE you are right...we'd all be hypocrites for using their products.

I have no intention (yet) of living in a teepee/mudhut in the woods/bush :)

the problem is corruption...not democracy.....even though money = power in a democracy....so it ISNT REALLY a democracy is it...

a social fcuktard...how very nice of you

  • @freddiedread

The people who are protesting don't have money so I can why you would agree with it. If we lived in a barter society then no one would be in disagreement, but fortunately or unfortunately money does make the world go around, and if you don't have any, its not the fault of the government or society, its your own for not getting an education and not getting a good job.

  • I totally agree that u should not go in the "Free Speech Zone" and rather protest IN THE MEDIA even.

  • The "security forces" and police services for the summit have a site just outside the city where they have been secretly prepositioning armored personal carriers, water cannon trucks, and even about 15-20 tanks (which are on loan from the Canadian military) to deal with protesters. Disgusting and shameful that we are turning into a militarized state to protect big business...

  • @TSM8088 what big businesses

? you burned downtown toronto not the big businesses...if you are a correct person go and pay for the damage you did.

  • @dacianr Who said anything about protesting? I'm a concerned citizen. You assume because I have an opinion, that I must be there "burning downtown." Grow up and think before you speak.

  • In all reality tho... Its time to get violent. Unfortunatly.

  • *rolls eyes*

I love it when people confuse our fundamental rights with trespassing. There is a reason why I don't want people on my property. And during the summit, the Metro Convention Centre is not your property. If you want it to be, pay the fee to rent it out. And don't say your tax dollars paid for it and therefore gives you the right to walk in. Do you get to sleep in Harper's bed too since you paid for it?

Stay in the appropriate zones instead of ruining it for everyone.

  • @bluthng he never said on the property just near it, rolls eyes, i love it when people are ignorant.

free speech zone is the biggest contradiction ever

  • try to spread the word that you shouldnt cover your face like chicken shit cops. no bandanas around your face it will be easier to point out provocateurs.

  • I personally think the Gardiner was closed today in one way or the other because of the summit. and what was up with taking 1000 cops to arrest 78 gangsters. talk about a waste of money. the only answer that can be is it was a test. as far as the police arresting someone without cause? when have they ever needed one? they only have to think the person is suspicious before they do what they do. we're screwed if we go anywhere near Bay Street.

  • If there is enough people there the downtown core will be flooded...move like water my friends, water can crash....and water can flow....be like water....and bring ear protection

  • the canadian charter of rights and freedoms was drafted in the 80s, how many judges are younger than 30?

it's already stfu or you go to jail.

you won't be able to get 2 blocks near the convention center, most of the property is owned by the city anyway (the rest is owned by banks and such, so yeah, your not getting no where near metro center or mtcc)

try saying 'i'm not a criminal' while four cops are on your back and your asphyxiating. it doesn't help.

the insurgency will not be youtubed.

  • I have already seen this in videos here in the U.S. The whole point is to scream your arguement at the front of the rally, not over by the parking area & away from the actual building your yelling at. They have pushed rallies out past the park of the white house. I hope Canada is awake, because we are gonna need them.

  • @LendMeYourHand

i am doing my best, alot of people i know are, they are reporting on the news that US citizens are being stoped at the border because they are coming to Toronto for the g20, but if you have no criminal record they are breaking the law by holding you because of your political affiliation

but the good news is that it looks alot of people will be downtown for the g20.

stay posted i will have all the raw footage

  • @TheFreedomlover88 whens it go down?

  • @LendMeYourHand I hope we are too in a positive way. The police are just upholding their jobs which is a tough position. They don't know who the threats are and who the peaceful protesters are...I am peaceful.

  • @TheGoddessCaroline If only it was that way, they have agitatators that are actual cops wearing black with bandanas that stage resistance, so they can engage the crowd.. The govt. does not like protesting, they want you to be good little brainwashed robots. So even at peaceful protests, the cops are planning staged violence, so they can get violent. Dont forget, many police are war vets with itchy trigger fingers. Dont be fooled, they are there to dominate you, not protect your rights.
