  • Just learning this shit from football thats hard to do n wat muscle groups does this workout work and do u have any videos of power cleans to push press?

  • @Potatoerapper : It doesn't target specific muscle groups, it trains movements. Like rapid extension in the hips/knees/ankles, then quick flexion in the same groups. Also, the ability to keep tight in the trunk with the weight overhead. I have some vids of power cleans and also push presses. Please have a look. Good luck with your training.

  • @Vatos75 thanks man

  • Auch die Gummischeiben dieser Größe wiegen 20kg pro Stück,somit sind DAS 185 kg !

  • @MrGuntherMaria da gibts auch 10er scheiben die sind fast genauso gross das kannst du so nicht sagen

  • Great form

  • scary!

  • @tstanb insofar as great work, I mean!

  • This may be because of the camera's angle, but your foot placement seems a little wide on the pulls.

  • hell yeah!!!! way to get the 3rd one up!!!

  • @MRxSHOWTIMEx9 : Thanks man!

  • Is it your knee / knees that are making that clicking noise on the 2nd rep? sounds really scary :/

  • Hii, when i do the hang snatch my arms should be straigth in the moment that i elevate my toes?

  • That looks like the most boring gym ever. You need some Pantera blastin in there or somethin.

  • @ripsaw111 you pansy.

  • the second one didn't sound healthy xD

  • @MutsuKazuma : hahahaa

  • that looks like 8 fucking plates wtf

  • @SMWhit3out: ahhaa yeah, the rubber bumper plates are thick and meant to be dropped a lot...and look like a lot more.

  • @SMWhit3out but, hey man, do you have a good vertical? im interested in how far can explosive weightlifting like this get your body in athletic movements....

  • @alejandrothefader : I have not tested my vert. But after a meet of a 114sn attempt, and a 149 C&J, I was able to tap a rim with Oly shoes on.

  • @Vatos75 man... depending on your height that might be impressive or at least wuite decent for only being a weightlifter... you got my hopes up ;)

  • @alejandrothefader ahahah oh yeah. I am 5'8".

  • @Vatos75 well then, a 28-30 inch vert.... very good, but i suppose that ol' painful plyos are a must to bust my plateau then ;) nevertheless keep it up man!!

  • pretty sweet man, thats my weight your just throwing in the air :)

  • Man, this is the second vid in a row where you're getting comments from wannabes. He'll wear a belt if he wants to! If he's still in control at that weight and tight, that's up to him to decide.

  • no fucking belt LOL

  • @asf4321, is there something wrong with that?

  • well its totally cool.. if you want your stomach to explode and your belly button to come undone..lol

theres a reason why lifters wear those wide belts

  • And there is a reason why some people don't post vids of themselves lifting. hahaha

  • i dont get it..

  • Do you have any lifting vids of yourself?

  • i dont have to be a lifter to know that

  • I rest my case.

  • lol barely olympic lifters use a lifting belt in the snatch u tard

  • Yes, some do, but I find it gets in the way in the snatch. Thank you for the quality comment and good luck with your (non)lifting.

  • Now how old are you and how long did that take you to acheive? LOL I only hang snatch 115 lb x2-3... IF Im lucky... BTW only 16... Damn it Im getting older and not much stronger

  • ahaha try to find some coaching and be patient. Lifting for about 2 years at this point.

  • @Vatos75 Now I feel terrible, I have been lifting since I was 13, abit over 2 years...

  • stop comparing yourself to others and just lift.

  • Was that comment directed towards me?

  • no to david, he is comparing himself to you, which is not a good idea, he should be concentrating on his lifts and improving them, not yours or others!!

  • @123b3n123. Good advice.

  • amazing! now thats real strength!

  • great power, vatos.

i hope to get there one day

  • Thx bro.

  • ahha yeah. Thanks.

  • how do you know "we" can't lift???? haha, and yes, that does hurt shoulders,

  • Maybe we should all become couch potatoes so our shoulders don't hurt. hahah

  • thats bad for teh shoulders man

  • Maybe yours man. This is an olympic sport.

  • I see, so when did you realise that going topless doesn't affect your lifts??

jus kidding man, is this your own private gym? Sounds dead quiet. Wish I could afford my own gym.

  • ahha, I removed my previous reply. It is difficult to understand sarcasm in text. It isn't my gym, I just work there and the place was closed. I took my shirt off because it was a bit restrictive and I didn't want it to limit my movement. Later.

  • maybe you can life more if you took off your shorts too, because obviously the weight of the clothing will affect how ,uch you can lift negatively.

  • nice another 80 pounds and you can snatch me

  • My PR is 115kg (253 lbs), so that puts me only 14 lbs behind you!

  • Good lifts man! Although I don't like hang snatch. Why don't you try to use straps and do the 2 lifts without dropping the weight?

  • Yeah, could now, but back then I was not comfortable snatching with straps due to being unsure what would happen if the bar fell behind.

  • Nice lifts vato.

  • Thx

  • That's how much I weigh :)

  • Me too!

  • That's odd, you lookd a lot more muscular than I. How tall are you?

  • Oh, I didn't realize that this vid was a little old. I was about 180 lbs then, at a height of 5'8". The heel on the lifting shoes is pretty high too.

  • great form man

  • Not bad, could've had a better shrug and snap under it lower.

  • Thx for your comment. Please look at my other vids, this one is over one year old.

  • Bravo!!! Bravo!!! Thank you so much for posting. I am new a hang snatches. I am worried I will hurt myself. In four months of lifting I have gained almost 20 pounds of solid muscle thanks to doing basic lifts like squat, chins, dips, hang and clean. Please reply Vatos... All the power to you friend in iron!

  • Cool! Where are your lifts now?

  • I'm 6 feet tall, 167 pounds. I was 148 pounds at the beginning of July. I'm 47 years old. I'm following the book "Scrawny to Brawny" by Mejia and Berardi... it's revolutionary for me. I have gained practically NO fat. My lifts have increased dramatically... squat 1Rm is 250lbs, Deadlift with Hex bar is 290lbs. I'm just using minimal weight to learn the hang snatch, but I love it! My girlfriend is amazed by my new physique. When I started I couldn't dip once..now 25 times...all the best!!

  • Post/send some vids of your lifting.

  • well done. im no good at snatches but thats why i do strongman... hahaha. great work

  • Thanks.

  • Is that 85kg with or without the bar?

  • 85kg total.

  • strong

  • thats alot of plates for 187

  • Yeah, it looks like it, but they are bumper plates = wider and bounce for Olympic lifting.

  • Try using straps for snatches from the hang.

Your looping it on the pull think vertical jump.

Catch tighter... focus on it a little bit but it will come with time.

Overall good lifting how long have you been at it?

  • Thanks for the advice, I'll try straps next time. Above knee/knee snatches are rarely in my program. Usually below knee. Above knee does not feel like I have the best positions. What do you think of my full snatch lift?...(although it was only 80% of max) Didn't feel like my best day, not as stable in bottom position. I'll post heavier vids when I have them. I have been lifting on my own for 2 years and about a year with coaching(improved 28kg in one year!)

  • oh i see, i been studying your lifts today i pr'd at 230X3 cleans. But im a pro long jumper. i was just curious because i bet your hella explosive. keep up the good work. hope you medal.

  • That is a good PR for reps. Post some training vids.

  • hey vatos what exactly do you lift for. just a hobby, or are you training for something.

  • I compete in olympic lifting.

  • i think you need to move your feet out more on the catch

  • Thanks.

  • 3rd rep was your best, you looked sharper under it, 2nd you didn't really sit in as well.
