  • the fan at 7:26 is a Harbor Breeze Lakeside II

  • What did the original Lakesides look like?

  • Is thier a diffrence between Litex and Harbor breeze?

  • And About Your Litex "Builder Fan". What Does "Builder Fan" Mean?

  • frankly i like your bedroom ceiling fan even if it is a cheap it still looks descent

  • what is the model on the harbor breeze? that is a really nice fan

  • Lakeside II

It looks nice but it is very cheaply built

  • That one that only has one speed most likely was wired incorrectly. I'm going to assume that at some point someone pulled the chain out of the socket and replaced it, wiring it wrong. Tis same thing happened to me with one of my fans.

  • 1. Quorum Capri (where the A52 is now:) )

    2. Quorum Capri

    3. Hunter Silent Breeze II

    4. Hunter Silent Breeze II

    5. Harbor Breeze Lakeside II

  • Actually the two you have as Quorum are Litex Sheffield builder grade fans

  • Yep, their definitely Harbor Breeze.

  • Actually just the living room fan is Harbor Breeze, the fan that was in my room when I filmed this and my Parent's fan are Litex Sheffields and the other 2 are Hunters

  • Oh ok.=)

  • Do the Litex fans run crappy with hardly any airflow? How does compare to the Lakeside II fan?

  • The litex fans, out of the ones filmed here, are the best performers in my opinion. I replaced my bedroom fan with a SMC A-52 and it's now the best CF in the house :P

  • I know you replaced the Litex fan that used to be in your bedroom with the SMC A-52 fan because I actually watched the videos you made for that ceiling fan. I honestly thought that the Hunter fans were the best performers in this video, but I guess not. Are you thinking of getting Hunter Originals for your new house too?

  • My house in the town of Willis, TX will be getting 2 originals, a Brown/Brass one and an all brass one, both 52"

If that house isn't ready to move in by the time we have to move out of this one and I move with my parents, then my Fasco Gulf Stream will be my new bedroom fan. Of course the A-52 will be coming along though :P

The Hunters wobble and work on 1 speed only, the litex fans don't, that's why I say their better...

  • You've got a lot of fans in your house though. In my house we only have 4 ceiling fans and the only one in perfect conditions is the one on my parents' room but the best one is the one in the living room. It blows so hard at high speed that you can even fel it on the dinning room.

  • The fan in your living room is the Harbor Breeze Lakeside II fan in possibly bright brass. It is a 52 inch 6 bladed fan and has an integrated 5 light chandelle kit.

  • I agree with the video description. In fact, it seems to be that way with most ceiling fans today. I so much like the ceiling fans built when I was a kid but even more so the antique fans. For the reason of the cheapness of most of today's ceiling fans, I bought a special model of the Hunter Original series (the best type of fan you can by today.) What's special about it is that this particular model is a replica of those ceiling fans of the 30's

  • The model is called the "Hotel Original with Adapt Air." It replicates the model from the early to mid 1930's called the H-52 and has the patented "Adapt Air" blade adjustment system that originated on those fans. This allows the blades to change pitch for downdraft or updraft and can be selected for either 15 or 12 degrees down or updraft. This fan, because of its design I plan to take with me whereever I move because of its design and it may well be a collector's item.

  • Plus, another reason I bought it is because of the cheap motors found in most of today's ceiling fans, which is a poorly ventilated spinner motor, which because of poor ventilation, is prone to burn out more easily. This fan doesn't have the full-sized motor that the ones of the 30's had but it still has quality and like all Hunter Originals the motor is an oil bath. I couldn't find it where I live in Houston and the closest place for me to find it was "Texas Ceiling Fans" in Austin.

  • Don't leave out Casablanca fans with the XLP-2000 motor, those are stack motors made by Casablanca and those run really well too. Other Casablanca ceiling fans today are made really well too.

  • Some of the Hunter Prestige fans are made really well too like the Paramount XP fan. I heard that this is one of Hunter's most powerful fans they have made besides the Originals.

  • when there all on i bet they are using a lot of ecetricity

  • Well, maybe not as much as a whole central a.c. unit for the house.

  • I think the 6 bladed fan in your living room is a harbor breeze, look it up on the internet.

  • You have a big house! That living room ceiling fan is very nice!

  • Lol thanks :P

I do like the look of the living room fan, I'm glad the old white one (which I KNOW was there) was replaced with it

  • Just a typical builder fan. It could be a lot of things. When you show the speeds you have to let time to slow down, its not like a desk fan, ceiling fans are large and takes more time to stop and slow down from speeds to speeds. The one in the office is a Hunter Quiet Breeze II 52''. Its better quality than the one in you bedroom. But its NOT possible that it only have one speed, they always have 3-speed. The one in the living room is a Harbor Breeze Lakeside II 52''.

  • Well then it's broken cuz it only works on the one speed

As for my fan vs those, IDK, but my fan and my parent's fan don't wobble, those ones do

  • the white one in the office is a Hunter. I had trouble with the pull on my old Hunter fan and it never worked right again (only 2 speeds instead of 3). The ones in your and your parents rooms are cheap Quorum fans. And the one in your brothers room is also a Hunter. The living room one is a Lakeside II by Harbor Breeze. They don't make that finish anymore.

  • Zach, you NEED better fans.

  • Those look like Harbor Breeze ceiling fans. The Lowes store brand.

  • Yeah, they probably are, a lot of the things in this house are cheap, local brands, and there's a lowes down the street :P

They're actually okay, but in my old house I had Hunter Originals, so they've got a lot to live up to....
