@bigt060654 - At the time I made this film I also work for a biotechnology company, plus my downright hatred for the Bush administration played a role in how the story was conceived for the movie.

My main concerns when making the movie was to have an homage to two zombie-esque films, The Return of the Living Dead and Lamberto Bava's Demons. The weaponized nerve gas experiment came from working at the company and as part of the homage to ROTLD.

Normally I don't get into it with people, because as the filmmaker it is bad business, but I am tired of people like yourself who make comments about the budget and the production. NO ONE and I MEAN NO ONE has ever put together a film this large in scale with very little money.

@EvilMonk3y1999 - GOD NO... Please NO CG zombies... I won't use CG except for muzzle flash... otherwise if it can't be done practical... not worth doing. CG cheapens zombie flicks.

Having a lower budget, you get creative with effects and how you make your movie. Since we had no money getting extras was never a problem... everyone wants to be a zombie because it is so much fun to do.

all 520 extras on Deadlands 2 were awesome and dedicated, can't ask for more. i'm proud of them

@MALAKASARA - obtaining International Distribution for indie titles is much harder than it used to be. I always suggest to people outside the USA who want to see it or own it, buy them off eBay I sell them at a fair price and the funds go directly to me as opposed to some distribuor who pays me $1-$2 per disc sold.

@nordin8100 - Well DAWN of the DEAD is a reference, but not a remake of it. And if youw alked into this expecting DAWN of the DEAD you set yourself up for failure. So your own short comings on expectations won't stop me from making a 3rd one because the demand is there.

Seriously what do you expect out of $6,000 movie, and don't even say El Mariachi. If you go back and watch El Mariachi it is just as Amateur, if not more than this...

@Pwnstar1988 - Unlike Hollyweird films which make you jump through hoops to be an extra in a zombie film... I remain very open about who wants to play a zombie. If you wanna play one, just stay in touch, and when we do film the third anyone is welcome to come and play a zombie.

Just have to get to the set on your own. However, we feed the hell out of ya, and have a great time. it is like an outdoor party atmosphere, but when filming I keep it very serious in tone and ethic. work 1st play 2nd.

Yes, in the UNRATED cut I appear twice, (38:34) You can see me as the zombie moves his hand, and then it cust to my elbow actually hitting another extra playing a zombie... The AD got us riled up pretty bad and a few people got injured in the process, nothing major, but it was a fun experience...

in the Theatrical cut I appear once.

I still don't care for the movie though.

I actually like both types of zTombie movies. Slow and fast, if it has zombies, I watch it. There is nothing wrong with that. I like the suspense of this movie as well. It doesn't go much into the zombies, but goes into the survival of the characters,

I leave that up to you to decide, but... the original screenplay for Deadlands 2 picked up where we left off. However, that became to expensive to make so it was shelved and will become Deadlands 3 with new characters

Because believe it or not, according to Djfunkmaster himself, the entire film cost a little under $6000 to make. Looks pretty damn good to me for that pittance of a budget...

Yes... I just had to wait per the studio because some of the screeners that went out earlier people did what i said they couldn't do. Made copies and loaned it out to their friends and families, which hurt everyone else because I had to stop making screeners until the DVD release date.

So you will get one soon. DVD hits October 27th and screeners can go out October 22nd.

The Cello in the beginning is from Magix, as in the Piano notes, the underlying synths are from Fruity loops, the timpani's are from FL, the boom hits are FL, the swells are a combo of Garage band , Magix, and FL synth brass.

The song consists of over 39 tracks of instruments. The uncompressed mis is so full in sound it just blows me ears drums out.
