Okay, idiots, Speed Racer ROCKS! It's, like, my favorite movie ever. So it has a lot of colors at the beginning. "OMG, IT'S SUCH AN AWFUL MOVIE, OMG!!!" So it's about race car driving. "AHH, IT SUCKS!!!" And those are good reasons to think it's bad HOW?!!! God, people are totally saying horrible things about Speed Racer for NO FRICKING REASON! They just need something to criticize to boost themselves up because they know they're lame. SPEED RACER RULES!!!! So stop ranting on how it's sooo awful.

a commercial for the speed racer movie hurt my eyes so bad. i'm picketing the opening of the movie. i want to hurt them like they hurt me. i know if i call fox and complain they wont acknowledge or do anything. my only option is to increase awareness. i'm going at them with everything ive got. i'm hurting right now. the pulse really hurt and seemed to fuck with me somehow. it was extreemly bright. i cant fully explain it but it is very upsetting

I have no idea how well the story or script is gonna pan out but Ive seen some stills and it looks VERY flashy and dynamic. the costumes and vehicles look pretty DEAD ON to the show. There's some minor tweaks here and there but there's no mistaking Spritle or Trixie or Racer X. It's as over the top visually as the Cartoon ever was.

If nothing else the Wachowski Brothers' will give us a visual feast

Spirit? What spirit? The show was fun but it was pretty goofy and weird. If anything this movie may just give it a new legitimacy.

And even if the movie tanks people will still love the cartoon just as much. People will still buy the DVDs and die-cast replicas. People will still be singing "GO SPEED RACE-AH, GOOOO!!!"

I don't see anything getting lost worse comes to worse.

The car shown (probably a prototype) seems made of plastic, becuase the bonnet (hood) is not separeted from the rest. Moreover, the action buttoms are missing on the steering wheel as well. I hope Mach 5 on the movie is better.

There is a different actor playing "Rex Racer", Scott Porter. Maybe they did in fact change the story (or maybe that other actor just plays Rex in flashbacks, when he was younger).
