Lea's voice may be smooth, but not powerful,her voice lacks the power, control...unlike Regine who's voice can go smoother, angelic in feminine tone on her lower notes, and more control on her extremely high notes
Listen to her sing 'on my own' in le miserable and then tell me if her voice lacks power. I'm just joe public and not a trained expert in voice control but her performance singing that song is phenominal.
Sorry but when I see and hear Regine, I think of trash that was thrown away so long ago and the garbage truck still wasnt able to pick her up. If I see and hear Lea, I can think of the stars and Tony, Olivier, Drama Desk, Disney, International, Fame, and Honor to the Philippines!

And By the way, she just got her Les Miserables 25th Anniv in London and it was successful acting as Fantine ( not to mention she was Eponine during their 10th anniv). Also, she's gonna be the main character for the new Allegiance Musical in America. Only elite people appreciate Musical and Opera, accept it or NOT!

i like lea but i love regine. its bcoz siguro dahil maraming hit songs si regine than lea. i don't think dapat icompare,they got their own style and different voice. we all know that lea is well better in opera style,regine can sing diff. style, she can do rNb,dance etc. that lea cant do. but regine is not so good in opera and jazz,she admit that.

i agree. but i think regine ALWAYS try to be the second best everytime the SOP show have a special guest, i guess to show some respect and not steal the limelight for that particular guest.. i watched her sing with mandy moore on MTV awards and she could have BELTED more than Mandy but she was GRACIOUS enough NOT TO outshine Mandy on her signature song. Regine was HUMBLE enough to just sing it casually, though, she could actually do better, but she just did not! Regine and Lea are great singers!
