It's weathly owners who will burn down a stable-full of horses to collect insurance money and lots of other nasty things all for the sake of money and vanity/ego. I grow tired of the insensative comments about Eight Belle's connections, no owner wants something like this to happen, there are bad people in every sport, and last years rolex we lost two horses...what no outrage there?? You cant make a horse run a race like she did by smacking her with a stick...She could have easily died in her own paddock running the fenceline and catching a gopher hole...but instead she ran the race of her life and beat ALL those boys, cant we all be proud of her?

Its your own opinion if you like your video better then mine. How long did you spend on making it? ten minutes? I spent FIVE HOURS IN TOTAL on this. 1 hour+ collecting all of the clips and pictures and then picking the song and then 3 + hours of putting it together.

and plus it doesn't matter if you where their or sitting at home watching it or listening on the radio. I'm sorry that i'm not rich and have no desire to go and watch the kentucky derby.

The reason is because all of these horses were desendents/had blood lines of a horse called native dancer who was a great racer, but she had a genetic flaw that now carries in most racehorses. RIP

acutally a horses legs are very complex and are hard to fix once they have been broken, especailly since her fornt two gave out. There was little to no chance of her surviving so it was in her intrest to put her out of her mistery, as sad as it was =[

and racing is what most of these horses live for. RIP Belles.

Big Brown won the race and is the hands down best pony today. But i saw something this evening that really upset me. I saw denial and callousness ijn away I've never seen it before.

What disgusted me today was the fleeting coverage of the tragedy and then sweeping it under the mat.
