The intro riff to Black or White is Keith Richards inspired. On many Stones tunes, such as Start Me Up and Brown Sugar, Keith uses an open G tuning. While Slash does not use the full open G tuning here, he does drop the high E down to D. This totally makes the sound of the intro figure. So give it a try; tune your hight E down to D and play: xx 11 9 10 9 to xx 9999 to xx7977 to xx9999.
@bigdoghat By George you`ve got it!! Just remember, you only need to pick the 2nd 3rd and 4th strings to make it work. Be sure to mute the 1st string. Great job!!
@BOOT367 i know i have tried to find a vid too and i cant seem to find it either lol where is slash when u need him haha he would do it rightlol he should totally do a lesson on this one he did it :D
I HATE blacks, but I love whites.... at least egg whites. And this comment is not meant to be subversive or blatant racism in any way, shape or form, all thing in the world equally considered. Thank you Mom, thank you Jesus. Peace!

I`m being a real MJ Nazi here. The voicing on the third chord is incorrect . I`ve watched six vids on utube and nobody`s gotten it tight so far.

@BOOT367 I had the same problem trying to learn it - this is what I came up with by ear - sounds right? E sus4 (add9)
6th, 5th, 4th string press on the 7th fret
3rd string 9th fret
2nd string 7th fret
1st string open
