Hi BlockKingdom ...That is Pedro's custom Persian ney mouthpiece [played w/interdental trad. technique] adapted to the western transverse Boehm flute. This allows his flute to sound like a Persian Ney, but with all the chromatic notes of the western flute... This took him more than 7 years of research in acoustics, including research with both the late Dr. John Coltman & Dr. Peter Hoekje. BTW He has & uses extensively more than 12 such custom headjoint world flutes adaptations on his flute
