I cannot understand how somebody can work outside when the bow is stumbling up and down. One wave in another frequency catapults the bow up and the man over board. It's arguable to find him in that sea condition.

Type in "freak waves" and you can learn about them on the nat. geographic or disc. Rogue waves get take energy from the waves around it, that is why there is a trough before it hits. Very scary!
