I am so ashamed of the Strauss family of Israel for entering into a water deal with Haier in China. They must know China's record for human rights atrocities. That they want to monopolize potable water with the Chinese is unforgivable.
Don't know a lot about Liechtenstein. I know there is a lot of money there. The per capita income was a large sum. The politics of the place is strange. I think it still is a monarchy with a very rich royal family. In reading Wiki, I guess they are decedents of the Holy Roman Empire. There is a lot of cosiness between authoritarian and totalitarian structures.

Hi Doreen - Well, it looks like you stumbled onto something. Strauss and Haier are both pretty invisible here. When I brought up their size & profits to a stock trader friend, he was surprised. Haier is bigger than Whirlpool. They are what is termed State Capitalism. To get investment capital, they set up corporations and partnerships to sell stocks. I don't think Haier itself is publicly traded. The agreements with Strauss is Strauss maybe a bank for them. They might provide access to markets.

the von und zu Lichtenstein family is the shadow world gov't - or they're close enough to it to smell the socks of whoever is.
