depends what type of airsoft gun it is. It won't do anything to AEGs, but it can have an effect on springers and gas guns

It does have an affect on AEG's. Yeah the motor is most of the noise but the air coming out of the barrel is quite loud. A silencer will make it so you don't here that puff of air.
