I went to college in Eau Claire in the mid 90s. It was an awesome time. It's too bad they didn't film the Cam instead of Pioneer. Still hard to believe it's gone.

It ran in 1995 or 96, when Space: Above and Beyond was first run.

That was Eau Claire... where you see the car making curves around the hedges is not, and the cop holding on to the kid is not an Eau Claire uniform, because their patches are dark and light blue with an eagle. Also, the fire truck it one of Eau Claire's. The drive down by the park I beleive was Owen Park, off of Water St, inside the park, don't think so. The school bus was from Eau Claire too.

Yeah, they did close down the street and they even changed some of the buildings (E&Gs had to redecorate).

Well, I after I found this video, I drove by the Pioneer Tavern, and it looks the same, so maybe they had the street closed for a couple hours of filming.
