Anyone can ask questions get information about it, but what they fail to mention or was edited out is the federal and state guidelines you actually have to meet to qualify for assistance. While we were in the parking lot of the welfare office, a very new looking Mercedes pulled up and a black couple got out. The Mercedes was tricked out with gold plated rims, other people in the parking lot were saying "Damn what are they doing here?" Turns out they were drug dealers, there to sign right up for welfare.
I'm a government worker. I work assisting low income people. You know how many times I went along with peoples stories only to throw their application in the trash as soon as they were gone. It is just a dose of what we are told on a day to day basis. the women seen 1st is not an eligibiilty determiner. she was in the wrong by telling the clients to omit information for an interview. I have clients who tell me they hustle. and i asked how much do you make on your hustle the write down a figure they get it notrized and we use. it. this is all part of the Ohio Revised code. What these employees are advocating is a usurpation of the process and a perversion of the system. This bypasses possible good that the social program could do in theory, and turns it into what it is today. Medicaid now helps few and hurts many.
And here in Utah, we had some concerned State Welfare Employees trying to expose the fraud of illegal aliens getting all sorts of welfare, bilking the Utah Taxpayers of millions. And they get arrested, fired and fined. And the (UT) legislature and State Attorney General wants to give Illegals Amnesty!

Pay attention. Anyone and their brother can ask for an application for Medicaid in any state. Anyone can ask questions get information about it, but what they fail to mention or was edited out is the federal and state guidelines you actually have to meet to qualify for assistance. Medicaid is not as easy to get on as this video would have you believe.

While we were in the parking lot of the welfare office, a very new looking Mercedes pulled up and a black couple got out. The Mercedes was tricked out with gold plated rims, other people in the parking lot were saying "Damn what are they doing here?" Turns out they were drug dealers, there to sign right up for welfare.

I'm a government worker. I work assisting low income people. You know how many times I went along with peoples stories only to throw their application in the trash as soon as they were gone. The cameraman, "Viktor" claimed that the car belonged to him and his brother. The medicare worker told them that the applicants are not responsible for assets they don't own, but that they would have to verify the father's income later on.
But you should be pretty glad that the new healthcare bill includes a lot of new measures to prevent, find, and punish those who are gaming the medicare system.

This "film" misrepresents the employees of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. First, the employees are professionals and have a job to perform. They cannot just say, "you're morally reprehensible, get out of my office!" They would be fired! They have to follow rules and procedures just like every other employee. It's not up to them whether the applications will be *approved*, and they are trained (very thoroughly) not to allow their personal judgments of others to influence their behavior.

Cut DEFENSE spending that's killing us. Social Security and Medicare are part of FICA tax (that's Federal Insurance)..... we pay for it, we are entitled to the social safety net. As a medicaid eligibility worker at one ot these offices. It is just a dose of what we are told on a day to day basis. the women seen 1st is not an eligibiilty determiner. she was in the wrong by telling the clients to omit information for an interview. I have clients who tell me they hustle. and i asked how much do you make on your hustle the write down a figure they get it notrized and we use. it. this is all part of the Ohio Revised code. We don't make the rules we just follow them

I have friends of mine that live and work in Columbus, Ohio. They are just livid about this and wonder why their TV stations aren't investigating this sort of thing, but are extremely grateful to James O'Keefe for doing the jobs that Channel 4 & 6 and another one(I forget which one) should be doing. What these employees are advocating is a usurpation of the process and a perversion of the system. This bypasses possible good that the social program could do in theory, and turns it into what it is today. Medicaid now helps few and hurts many.
