After hearing all the terrible reviews I decided to give the free trial a go a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to see first hand how awful it was.

To my amazement, I actually enjoyed the game. I could nick pick out things I don't like and things I'd wish they'd change, but overall it's really underrated.

This looks a lot like the "Elder Scrolls" series, and the game play seems about as lame, as well. No way I'm spending my money on this. Looks like it was transferred directly from a console version.

This looks like the MMO I've been waiting for since UO went to shit years ago. Can anybody tell me:

1. Does everybody pretty much end up with the same skills in the end in order to be good at PvP or is there a lot of variety?

2. Does the world feel populated in most areas?

3. Does this run well through Bootcamp? (Or are there any plans to make a Mac version, possibly through Cider?)

It's really hard to cap your skills and it takes loads of time. I've been playing a month and I am pretty viable in PvP in big groups. i just keep my distance sometimes.

Its really populated by cities and sometimes some hot spots.

X2- this game doesn't look to great. Sound is horrible (Lightning and feet repitition, animation is horrible (SWG type). I'm not expecting it to be awsome this is just my 2 cents. Looks kinda like a fan made HL2 mod lol.

Darkfall is definantly one the biggest dissapointments of a game I ever played. And this comes from a guy who plays a lot of these underground games. I mean I dont even know where to begin bitching.

I could fill up 20 hours of just ranting each of every aspect of this game and another 20 hours of each feature that never made it through. I mean its so obvious I was tricked though closed hidden beta, community brainwashed into playing this. The game is almost broken in each and any way.

Oh man that awful lightning sound alone is reason enough to never play this game. Other reasons include the horrible graphics, FPS POV, and awful animations. How anyone can play this while continuing to believe the misconceptions about Age of Conan is beyond me. Anyone reading this do yourself a favor and try Age of Conan. Seriously this Darkfall looks and sounds like total garbage.

If you like Darkfall more, fine. But vidsaoc isn't close to being alone in thinking Darkfall is horrible. I don't like either AoC or Darkfall, but at least the sounds in AoC are bearable. That lightning in the video is painful to hear.

Like I said though, if you like it, fine. I suggest to anyone checking this game out though, to find something else.
