A few years ago my associates were jumping off the bridge where I live (it's a pass time), not realizing their iPods were still in their pockets. Once getting out of the water and realizing their error, they also realized that they still work fine. New ones, though, are succumbing to my electrical disposition that earlier had only discharged flashlights.

Creative Zens have great sound quality compared to iPods. i have an iPod touch now since my Creative Zen Vision M got stolen, i thought iPod was better than my Zen but some of the detail of a song is missing in iPod which is present in Zen. I recommend Creative Zen over iPod based on sound quality and player's life.
*IMPORTANT* - If you ever have any device get wet, or drop it in water. Immediatly take it out, TURN IT OFF, try to dry it off as much as possible, then place it in a bowl of rice and LEAVE IT ALONE. Rice will suck up all the moisture, and the longer you leave it the better of a chance you will have to make it work again.
iPods technically are not MP3 players. They play a proprietary file format called AC3 I think. That's why you have to use iTunes to put stuff on an iPod....lots of regular MP3 players will let you just drag/drop files and folders....just sayin'.

They default to some DRM extensions to help prevent copyright distribution. If you want a true open source file extension, check out *.ogg. however, mp3 also has no DRM-related systems built into it.
I had a creative Zen 8gb harddrive mp3 player. I loved it. Dropped it 3 times. Hasnt worked since. I still have it in case it wants to come back to life. Lesson learned, bought a 4gb flash walkman :)

yeah, i dropped my ipod in the pool while i was working on the siding. i had my headphones on, and the sound didn't change, so it took me a while to realize that it was completely submerged in the water. still works like a charm three months later. even the screen still works.

I found your show earlier today... okay - late yesterday would probably be more correct - and I do admit to being a fan... already. I love the sarcasm... which is, for once, completely understandable as well as the brilliant use of facts that makes it more fun to learn stuff. :) hehe - got an ipod last time... my old one simply did not have the battery capacity to fit my need. iPod is just fine, has good music quality (depends on your headphones aswell) en is either small or flat.. or both.
However... connecting it to a windows machine (which the majority of the users will) can always end up in an error.
Then there is this weird thing with IPod generations. I've had a 1st gen IPod for 3 or 4 years.. and my little brother a 3rd gen (he got his much later). He also bought a batery charger for it. Which works with the 1st till 3rd gen.. but not with my new 5th gen. WTF!?

Zune is a much better MP3 player brand. I don't see why everyone like the iPod so much more. I've had almost all the iPod types up until the iPod touch and after getting the cheap 8gig zune, I've got to say it is way better. not only can it update itself when hooked to a computer which as far as I know, ipods can't, but you can share your music. You cant even put iTunes music on an MP3 phone because it is locked so only iPod products can use them. Just one of many things that make zune great!
