it makes me sad to see christians hurting people and then say its what god said. so god wanted us to ostracize any one that is different and looks "strange" my son has autism you would think a disabled child would be loved in church sadly no. he doesnt act like they want him too so he has been rejected abused and ridiculed by them.
Eph 4:29 Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.
Eph 4:30 Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
Jas 3:10 from the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be this way.
Jas 3:11 Does a fountain send out from the same opening both fresh and bitter water?
@JoaquinJB Exactly. Would you like there to be a list of what words are "wholesome"? Who decides? Or, perhaps, would a list be legalism, just as I described? I don't know what you are referring to with Eph 4:30, I certainly don't think anyone should grieve the spirit. Aha, blessing and "cursing", but who defines "cursing" and what does the word really mean? In the context of "God looks at the heart" a real curse would be something said with evil in your heart.
"But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7 (KJV)
You are awesome sir thank you so much for being in this world, the church needs more people like you, you preach a good word full of love and caring thank you so much! <3 <3 <3
