@MentalSelfMutilation - It was real! Vulcan flatulence, which is characterized by the pinkish color and tendency to rise and quickly dissipate, because of the low density of the emitted gas. OK, it was added as an animation.
To Sirrma - thanks for the comment and suggestion. As I recall, there was an edit cut on the original just before my start point for this clip, and I had to get it all in (or should I say out) before Kirk sniffs and comments. However, I shall take a look.
A classic clip. And well done. However I feel it would have been better if you had just waited about five seconds or so before he let it rip, would have been better that way IMHO :-)
mrwollfieman4 - not sure why you had this problem. Try moving the playhead to the start then releasing it (the playhead that is, not gas). I checked and it is working just fine.
My goal was to make the fart realistic, and a little muffled, as if by an Enterprise uniform. If you want a barrage a deafening, endless raspberries, then this is not the clip for you. There are plenty of OTT clips around.
Last time I smelt a odor like that was 11 years ago.
