Is that a female doing a mating call? Cuz I played this and my male button quail acted in a way I've never seen him act before with other button quail audio. He made this noise I've never heard before and spread out his wings and then he went after the female in my button quail cage.
What's the best way to introduce a female quail to a male quail ? I had a pair but the male kept picking on her body and i separated them, eventually she died :( I don't want him to be lonely for the rest of his life, thank you :]
a friend of ours is giving us three buttons and they are all males we want to get a female so we can hatch some chicks but will the males try to fight over her
Yes, I started with a good bed of shredded paper with a box in the corner with grit in it that they dust bath in. I would add some loose grains on the bottom too so they could pick out seeds. They do well on this :)

They should start laying at 3-4 months old- mine have been laying like crazy!

yep :) the boys will fight over one hen. You'd need to seperate them into a pair and the two males.
