For the debate regarding the scope, it is an AN/PVS-17 night scope. It works by light gathering to improve vision in low lighting conditions(night vision). As a result, using it normally in regular lighting is damaging. The cap has a hole in it, which only allows a small amount of light to access the unit. Many experienced shooters fire with both eyes open, and military units encourage it, especially here, to improve peripheral vision while "tunnel-visioned" with one eye down a scope.

I dont understand all those comments about scope, eyes and cap... This is Night vision scope. Cap stops most of the light so you can see anything in NV scope and both eyes open are normal for good shooters.

@YourVagIsMine Look closer at the "cap". It is a special scope, green on the inside with a red dot. Not exactly sure what it does, but I can guratee you it wasnt a cap.

@YourVagIsMine Good shots always shoot with both eyes open and it's not a cap. It's got a little hole on it to allow just a little light to get in. It's a night scope and using it during the day can damage it.

Its called bounding overwatch one man moves while the other covers . after the first man moves he says set which means hes in position and ready to cover the other mans movement . Then when the second man is ready to move he says bounding and that tells the first guy hes moving and he needs cover fire . it sounds more complicated than it realy is .
