  • "It's outrageous to even suggest that the prosecutor would make a thieves' bargain with notorious Velma Kelly!"-great dialogue Mr. Flynn

  • Velma commits perjury when she says she found the diary in the defendant's jail cell which was a lie

  • "I told Billy i was gonna do that at my trial! XD

  • "She does! She does!" Lmaooooo Richard Gere :)

  • Richard Gere is perfect in the role of a slimy, corrupt lawyer.

  • Poor Harrison! He got nothing at the end, let alone becoming a governor. Instead, he had to let Velma go free so that she can testify against Roxie, but Billy manages to save Roxie and Harrison loses the most important case of his career.

  • that tap dance is only happening in Roxie's imagination

  • oh dear goddess i want to rip that suit off him...

  • @ourorboros2 ...In what way? Lul. xD

  • @SugarBaby372

in the way that would leave him oiled and naked in my room:P

  • It feels like nothing is impossible for Billy Flynn

  • The outfit that Velma wears in the courtroom is the best outfit she wears in the whole movie

  • Roxi is so selfish and stupid. shes so obessed with being famous that she doesn't care about anyone else.

  • @HawkSong116 That's Chicago(:

  • Did Catherine Zeta-Jones really cut her hair for this movie or is it just wig?

  • Velma seems too comfortable in jail and she's too strong and iron-willed. While Roxie, after seeing the Hunyak hang, desperately wanted to be out of jail at any cost, Velma knew that Billy would save her and she wasn't too desperate like Roxie to get out of jail!

  • when Roxie said "...and she broke the lock" she acted dumb. Because Billy says she never kept a diary. If she never kept a diary, how did she know it was in her cell locker?

  • How did Roxie steal Velma's garter? lol:)

  • Oh Mama! That was my bit! I told Billy I was gonna do that on my trial! Lol!

  • it keeps stopping at 2:51!!

  • OOooh...a tap dance.... (;

  • WII-UHLD!!

  • how does reading a diary that tells Roxie killed Fred casely for reneging on a pledge get Velma Kelly off the hook? I don't understand!

  • @jahangirhussain1 Normally, prisoners can have their sentences reduced if they testify against another prisoner. Compound that with the incredibly high corruption level in Chicago, and it lets her get off scot-free.

  • @videogamer810 thanks! but velma is a dangerous woman. she committed a double homicide! and that too of her husband and sister! how does a mere testifying get her off the hook?

  • @videogamer810 Velma makes a deal with Harrison to drop all charges against her in exchange of testifying against Roxie. So he lets her go free after she reads Roxie's diary in court.

  • 5:50 "oh we didn't think about everything? we forgot abuot somebody?" i love this scene

    omg what a circus

  • where can i get a lawyer like that. I would like to reserve one incase i ever decided to kill anyone ;D

  • WHY THE F DID RICHARD GERE DID NOT GET NOMINATED FOR AN OSCAR TOO?

  • three people were not razzle dazzled

  • Evita was so much better. hy didn't Madonna get an Oscar nod?

  • I love this movie... so thought-provoking :)

    In a very creative way.

  • lol at at him lip syncing it along with her!!

  • That woman who spicks trow the microphone is she from The Grinch (:

  • Yeah and she broke the lock LOL

  • this is kinda crazy... i can't believe i love it

  • queen latifah's BREAST!

  • WILD!

  • AND THEN SHE TOLE MY GARTER lol laughed soo much!

  • FLYNN GOING WILD I WUVS IT XD

  • "can you tell the audience- er the JURY what happened neXt?"

Haha- ya.... Nobody even notices his little slip-up...

  • I have to say that even though Flynn is a a complete asshole, he IS quite a genius.

  • 2 people can't tap dance.

  • lol i love how the whole jury leans forward at 2:30 to look. men, lol :p

  • "SHE STOLE MY DAMN GARTER!" I love Velma. <3

  • I love how you can see Flynn mouthing along when Roxie says "To save my husband's innocent unborn child!" As if that doesn't give away how they planned every word of the defense... lol

  • Man, Billy Flynn is PIMP!

  • 2:30 wtf was that?

  • any guy who can dance is sexy in my book

  • @cherrycoke131 i hear guys that are good dancers are good kissers... whether there's anything to that i don't know though lol

  • I wish they didn't cut out class. It's on YouTube and it is fantastic. One of the best scenes. And I don't really like RZ but I LOVE CZJ. She's incredible

  • @emilyn613 I agree. I love that song.

  • this movie has so many LOL moments

  • Amos is sooooo sweet, but he's definitely not the sharpest tool in the toolshed.

  • I love the way Billy lips along with the stuff that she repeated verbatim!

  • @VerityAAL Colm Feore plays the prosecutor.

BTW: Why do you refer to his character as "the bad one"? He's just trying to see that justice is served. Billy Flynn is the bad lawyer as in villainous.

  • CZJ is gorgeous from head to toe, her makeup, hair and outfit is IMPECCABLE

  • "what a bulls eye, huh?"- that line sounded so sexy

  • DONT BReAK My rADIO!

  • never seen it before but I can tell you I really really hpe she doesnt make it

  • best frickin tapdance ever!

  • SHE MADE THAT UP!!!

  • I always wondered what Fred would think if he saw this?(from beyond the grave i mean)

  • Catherine Zeta Jones is my long time celebrity crush XD

    I love her

  • thought no photographs in court?

  • @purgleangel

    Honey, this is the 30's!

    or 20's :P

  • Catherine Zeta Jones is sooo beautiful here

  • Haha, pulling up her skirt, yess

  • wait so i velma got off because she testified at roxie's trial?

  • @urafunnykid8D she made a deal in exchange for her testimony.

  • oh, she's such an awesome actress, both Renee and Roxie XD I absolutely love this movie for the characters

  • if shes expecting a 'visitor' then technically they cant hang her until 6 months after the child has been born. Otherwise it would be 2 murders, one legal and one illegal. Great Movie! Just saying

  • Oh my god...

    Love his voice...

    So charming

  • this is a good movie.... pretty unmoral, but i like the style

  • I don't think this movie means what it's about on the surface. I think the movie (and the play) is all about how some people can get away with murder just because they're rich.

  • @cocacolacompany1 You mean Amoral? Plus, that's what it's about-corruption in the justice system.

  • @cocacolacompany1 You mean Amoral? That's what the story's about-corruption in the justice system.

  • @cocacolacompany1 The word you are looking for is abnormal.

  • @UponWishingStars Uh, no, they meant immoral. Not abnormal. They were closer than you were... Don't correct people unless you're absolutely sure you're right!

  • @CathyLuvsLipGloss

It could have been either. The word they used, however, was incorrect.

  • @UponWishingStars Well... I'm just going on a hunch here, but I think when someone says unmoral, they don't know the prefix for that word is supposed to be im-. I'm absolutely sure they didn't mean to say this movie is "abnormal." Sorry, no offense (ugh, don't you hate it when you say no offense, and yet it comes off as mean? Grrr I hope you don't think I'm mean! I'm just a correction freak... my friends get really annoyed at me when i correct them lol)!

  • hahaha i love how he's mouthing her lines along...:]]

  • LOL THE END ofTHIS VIDEO MADE ME LAUGH!!!!!

  • So funny seeing how richard gere is giving her hints and she repeats the same thing over and over again ;)

  • i cant beleive a lady DIED why did she die again

  • the jury couldn't understand kaitlyn's language(hungarian) so they told her that she was guilty when she was in fact innocent

  • he husband needs to grow a brain

  • 05:32 this is the best part :D catherine's just amazing

  • ..and she broke the lock!! XDD

  • @IdeaRainbow i like that line. i love it infact. i like how shes a coldhearted criminal but she still has all the stubborn hurt of a child...

  • i don't know if i made myself clear: if he could tap dance, this scene would be useless.

the purpose of the scene is that tap dancing is difficult to him, just like that bit in court. he's struggling in both cases. it's a metaphor, but i think everybody got that.

  • Sorry, i know this is an old comment but i have to correct you; he isn't tap dancing badly cos he's struggling, it's supposed to be a "dance of victory" cos he is bringing the case to it's conclusion and successfully getting her off a murder charge! I mean he even manipulated hr husband into filing for divorce to win the publics sympathy for her and he wrote in her diary so that when it was read out in court he could say the opposing counsel tampered with the evidence. no struggle at all!!

  • Comment removed

  • again: i like the scene and i don't think the purpose of it was to show a great tap dancer. it's the opposite. he does it badly, and that's the way it should be done here. he should struggle. simple like that.

  • You must know a whole lot more about tap dancing than I do. I enjoyed the scene.

  • she was pregnant?!

  • SHE STOLE MY GARTER! *attacks radio*

    xD

  • What ah bullseye huh??

  • I love this movie :D

  • love the movie, but richard gere CAN'T TAP! STOOOOOP!

(and you if give me thumbs down is because you have never seen an astaire or gene kelly's movie)

  • Wait a minute ... you're saying he can't tap because he's not as good as two of the world's greatest? A lot of people can tap without being anywhere near that good. Sure he can tap dance. He couldn't make a living doing it full-time, but he can do it.

  • I'm not saying that this scene is not good or important. i think it is and it should be in the movie. but it's kinda painful to watch him tap dancing because is not natural. i enjoy seeing great tap dancers, because that's the purpose of watching one in action.

he can't make a living out of this, it's true. so why is he making it? why is he tap dancing here?

  • Have you ever heard the phrase "tap dancing around the truth"? That's what he's doing here, and they illustrate the phrase by having him actually tap dance. Just like in a previous scene "Razzle Dazzle 'Em" where they illustrate it by the circus performance.

  • "Oh, SHE STOLE MY GARTER!!"

  • tap dance is a great scene!

  • 3:08 till 4:16 is VERY over the top don't ya think?

  • thats the idea

  • It should be <;

  • Catherine is so gorgeous!!!

  • SHE DOEEES SHE DOEEES

    lawl ^^

  • can you tell the audience..the jury!

  • "What a bullseye."

    XD

  • there is no baby

  • "What a bullseye?" haha!!

  • Richard Gere's Tap dance ftw

  • I wish someone would post a video of just the part where he tap dances D=

  • Sorry, my mistake, Billy.

  • Oh, Amos.

My heart, already broken for him, is now shattered into tiny pieces.

He is just a pawn in Fred and Roxie's media game. :'(

  • lol do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me god?

Velma kelly - and then some

    lol thats hilarious

  • Poor Amos. . .

  • he's gone mad and i hope she doesnt get off the case because i dont like roxie i prefer velma kelly x x x

  • that tap dance MADE the movie for me.

  • richard greer is kinda cute hehe

  • now THATS a court trial

  • And she broke the lock!!!!!

    L.O.L!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Utter genius!!! Every line in the trial and then "Don't hurt my radio!" I love this movie

  • "Don't hurt my radio!" LOL

  • this movie is the bomb!!!!!!!!!

  • I always loved the hilarious parts in this movie :D
