1Co 14:13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an UNKNOWN tongue pray that he may interpret.
1Co 14:14 For if I pray in an UNKNOWN tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
Question >>> if the UNKNOWN Tongue (a gift of the Spirit) is merely a "foreign earthly" language why would another gift of the Spirit be the "Interpretation of Tongues" if i could simply employ anyone (even a Non-christian) to interpret an "earthly" language e.g greek, chinese etc ?
Should we question God? The New Testament examples? The UNKNOWN TONGUE is an UNKNOWN HUMAN LANGUAGE (Acts 2.) The interpretation of HUMAN LANGUAGES a saint never learned and does not understand himself.....becomes a supernatural event, a GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST. This is why those who did not UNDERSTAND/KNOW the language a saint was speaking by the utterance given by the Holy Ghost....needed to PRAY FOR THE INTERPRETATION. This is the only proper division of this matter. It is completely sound.
Thanks Brother Sean, the Lord has to tell you that. It is very abnormal for anyone to think in that fashion. :) Have to own an another sort of mind altogether. One that is starting to think like God thinks. Amen.
Amen brother scott
