i remember watching this race on US network tv and as soon as the US dropped out, the network totally switched from the race leaders to another event..i couldn't believe it. they didn't even show who won the race..same thing they did when canada totally shoved it up their ass in atlanta in the 4x100m final. since then i try not to watch any world track event on a US network..the US, very poor sportsmen when they loose

Its not that they never show up, it's that they're never prepared to cheat. looking over the years at all the gold medals they didn't win, they often lost to people who cheated. From Flo-Jo (beating Grace Jackson), Gail Devers (beating Merlene Ottey), Justin Gatlin (beating Michael Frater) to the many mile relays the US won with cheaters.
