@mkocian17 it's in both the mixolydian mode and the major pentatonic, so those are two alternate flavors you can substitue the 7th with.

@prleLTD I don't intend on starting a metal vs blues debate. However, consider this, when you walk in a place like guitar center, what comprises 99% of what you hear? Kids playing metal, teens playing metal, even some adults playing metal. Sure metal is "blues inspired", but it is a far cry from the stuff Marty is showing here. If you are a metal fan, no hard feelings.
