One thing I never understood is that when Larionov was with the Sharks he was good, but he was supposed to be past his prime. But when he left the Sharks and went to the Red Wings, all of a sudden his stats got a lot better. I dont get that.
Did his stats really get better? He was basically a point a game player with san jose. He was just injured on and off. I dont know have the exact stats for both seasons but in 94 the sharks were 30-20-10 I think with larionov and they only won 3 games with out him the whole year. Besides maybe comparing to the russian five year I thought larionov was great in san jose.
@J0113 bwahahahahahah thats a joke, best line in the history of hockey, bwahahahahahahaahahahahahahh. shit edmonton, islanders, montreal all have better lines in the history of hockey, shit just look at edmontons line with 4 stanley cups or islanders 4 cups.. detroit s line has 2 cups and less points in goals or assists, but nice try wing fan.......
@spitfirecs420 actually they still dont have the most points as a line since the expansion, they are good but not the best line since. do your research on that one before u try to pass it off as fact.
@maksim82tallin i think washington is trying to pull of the same thing, bruce keeps drafting russians to the caps, also another famous russian combo. federov, kozlov, ovechkin, all they missed was fetisov and konstantinov hahaha :))
I remember in 2k2 in the finals when larionov was coming in, and I instantly thought of this penalty shot. And was like fuck.. larionov is going to go backhand and score isnt he? And sure enough lol. Oh well, kinda a funny clip when you think about. Larionov and irbes paths changing so drastically in just a few months. I think irbe was sent down to minors not long after this. =[
Anyway thanks for uploading. He beat irbe worse then I rememberd lol.
The red line of the red machine is the most powerful weapon ever existed in NHL !!!

fucking smelly russians. Those ussr commies invested some serious money in sports though, for soft power purposes.

He made that look so easy.

Two out of three of the KLM line...so why did San Jose still suck?

That was the single most effortless penalty shot I've ever seen.

@robdmhaze 1992 was an expansion year. The Red Wings line may not be the BEST. But it is no doubt the best since the final expansion was made.
