the thing that i dont really like is that their is no eq but i was wondering if you could just set one on the computer and just sync it and then that will your eq

I wanted a zune untill i saw this video... if you have wifi you can buy a song but only use it when you have wifi connection? what if im in the fucking car and i want to listen to that song? and active membership?... when the fuck am i going to go eat a McDonalds everyday?... i go there like once a year... No EQ?.. fuck this zune shit im keeping my ipod touch.. this microsoft shit is sooo cheep and it fucking sucks.... staying with apple's ipods FOREVER

hmm depends if your rich. i maxed out my 8g ipod nano and am getting a zune. but the thing is the zune hd is only 10 dollors less than the ipod touch, both 32g. so id actually get ipod touch. but if you dont need all the extra bells just go with zune 120.

I bought a Zune 120 gb, it was my first mp3 player and I was not satisfied. I followed the claims that it has amazing sound but it sounded pretty bad straight out of the box. Most songs were either sub-par or just terrible. I was using my Sennheiser HD 202 headphones. It doesn't have EQ settings like the iPod and it felt cheaply built. Who really cares about a radio? You buy it to store music. I took it back next day and bought a classic 120 gb which I'm happy with. Bad deal from MS.

I was waiting for the ZuneHD myself but I am hearing it'll likely launch at 16gb and 30gb, which is hardly sufficient for my music collection. It seems to be more of a Ipod Touch competitor than an Ipod Classic. So wait based on which you prefer, I'd say. My own collection is 68 gigs and growing, so I have more need of the 120 than the HD. It sure is sexy, though.

The sound quality's better on the zune than the ipod, regardless of the fact that the zune has no equilizer

The zune does have an equalizer: access by going to Settings - Music - Equalizer. Then you will get several choices like acoustic, classical, etc. I find that "acoustic" produces the best bass.

Not on the Zune 120GB (which I have) or Zune 80GB but yes on the Zune 30GB it does have a EQ.
