  • ""the Bible is probably the most genocidal book in the literary canon. the God of the Bible was ready to destroy every living creature on earth because some humans irritated Him. That's the story of Noah. I mean, that's beyond genocide. Somebody offended Him, and He was going to destroy every living being on earth?" -noam chomsky

  • Awesome

  • Out of all of my research i have found one Atheist uprising (which was a few people in France who were tired of being oppressed by the church and rebelled.)

Other than that, most arguments fall short

  • Atheists are the most indoctrinated fools. On the contrary, scientist geniuses are the most intelligent people. (yes, Einstein did believed in God, but not a personal one)

You make me sick with this videos, it shows only your ignorance and not the lack of belief, but the lack of knowledge.

  • @infdrive I'm an atheist, perhaps you could tell me what my doctrine is?

  • @shandcunt you can tell me yourself what your doctrine is. it's ok, I'll sympathize.

  • @shandcunt beware that atheist is not synonym with idiot (read my comment again and comprehend it before asking stupid questions)

  • @infdrive "Atheists are the most indoctrinated fools" - See my understanding of Atheism is a person without theistic belief, that is without indoctrination. hence why i am confused by your comment. There is no set of subscribed beliefs or rules, it is the opposite.

  • @shandcunt read the ENTIRE comment not just what it is suitable for you. That phrase was rhetorical related to the current video

  • @infdrive "If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it." --Einstein, a true "scientist genius."

For what it's worth, I used to be a paid Astronomy researcher, and am now training to become a linguist (perhaps even a cunning linguist) at a top-100 worldwide university. It might not be Harvard/MIT, but nobody cares. I'm 21 years old as of this writing. What have you done with your life?

  • @jesushlincoln I don't give a fuck what a virtual nickname on the web does with its life. I will care if I know your identity. I am an astronaut. Happy?

  • @infdrive Yeah, an ass-tronaut has nothing better to do than comment people's Youtube videos. I haven't uploaded a Youtube video in over a year, and not a real one in almost two. You, meanwhile, have been spamming this video with inane comments for months now. Who exactly is wasting their time here? I only came back because I'm sick of receiving e-mail upon e-mail about your pointless blabber.

  • Comment removed

  • @jesushlincoln close the comments if you think the forumists are spammers.

  • @jesushlincoln funny. you are quoting Einstein and say what a great researcher you are, then... why don't you make videos about that, instead of posting videos for retarded people. You can't possibly be proud of such videos with your training. So show the people your experience in astronomy instead of fooling around. Otherwise you are no better than the religious people you are making fun of. I would not expect an astronomer to actually post this.

  • @infdrive truth hurts? you were never an astronomer. Or maybe you got paid to clean the astronomers' desks. bye.

  • WTF is this bullshit ?

  • You know what you call a theist and an atheist arguing over the existence of God?

    Pure entertainment for me.

    Silly fucks all around.

    I laugh therefore I am.

  • Next thing ya know they will want to outlaw witch burnings.

  • this video owned

  • You had to kill your whole argument by throwing bush in there....

  • AHAHAH religion just got fucking raped like a clergy man spews his milk into young kids

  • its just some europeans they always wanted land to fill their GREED GOD HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH DIKS LIKE THIS

  • "Christianity is an invention of sick brains"

    -Hitler

Pat Robertson is part of TBN which is anything but Christian.

    Christians aren't deist.

Ivan the Terrible was a psychopath who probably had a multitude of mental disorders such as bipolar disease, paranoid personality disorder, and sadistic behavior.

Bloody Mary and the KKK are contemptuous which is not Christian and... George Bush was an idiot.

  • The Hitler Quote is part of a bad English translation of a very ... very ... very loose French translation by noted forger Francois Genoud, of what Hitler may have said (given that this is from an ex post facto account) .

Christianity teaches 'transubstantiation,' which is the maddest thing ever concocted by a human mind in its delusions, a mockery of all that is godly. -Is a literal translation of the actual quote

It comes from a criticism of certain doctrines and not Christianity itself

  • Thank you for clarifying that quote. Still, he could declare himself a Christian until he was blue in the face and he still wouldn't be one if he continued to do what he was doing. Christianity was merely a political tool for Hitler to use just like the the way Constantine and the early Catholic church had used it, and judging from his private quotes he definitely preferred Islam over Christianity. In short, if he was a Christian, he would try to be like Jesus. Sadly, he failed miserably.

  • @Sean2112bd "...a political tool..." If there weren't millions of Christians eager to hate for Jesus, Hitler would have stood alone.

"...from his private quotes he definitely preferred Islam..." What quotes? I'm curious

"...if he was a Christian, he would try to be like Jesus." I get so sick of the "not a real Christian" excuse. I've *never* met a Christian trying that; only the self righteous who behave abominably. They don't care; as long as they accept Jesus they're saved.

  • @queenastilon

"Hitler usually concluded this historical speculation by remarking: 'You see, it's been our misfortune to have the wrong religion. Why didn't we have the religion of the Japanese, who regard sacrifice for the Fatherland as the highest good? The Mohammedan religion too would have been much more compatible to us than Christianity. Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness?'" (11)

  • A simple proof of Gods existence is an agreement that if 1+1=2, then 100+100 must equal 200. Discovery Channel has proven what happens to primates that do not receive love, they DIE. Human parents establish our rules/commandments to keep our children safe & demonstrate love for our children. Arguably, the greatest gift human parents give our children is forgiveness. God reveals Himself within our conscience as we become conscious of His rules &/or Forgiveness, He proves His Love & existence.

  • very nice rebuttal to that travesty of a video.

  • 2 things I hate:

    1. When people bash Christianity because certain" christian" do certain things.

    2. What I hate even MORE is when certain "christians" bring this upon us all and act stupidly and then use the name of god. A whole chunk of ACTS of TERRORISM done by "christians' through out history are not even biblical or or vaguely/faintly biblical.

If people don't like religion that's fine it's their choice. but it's worst when I see christians acting foolishly! ( killing abortion doctors)

  • to be fair, most of the "hitler was a catholic" stuff was in response to "hitler was a 'darwinist'!" crap.

  • Read about Spinoza's God.

  • I know what love is because of my understanding to treat others as I am treated (a concept stated thousands of years before Jesus was supposed to have lived) and because of my own naturally-imbued feelings toward other living beings, results of evolution of species side-by-side and strength in numbers.

Of course, knowing the underpinnings of something makes it no less beautiful. Knowing what the sun is doesn't make sunsets ugly, and knowing what love is doesn't make it less awesome.

  • Are you implying no one in the world before Christ knew what love is? Love was a mystery to all those Old Testament people?

  • @prolefeedprocessor i think thats the exact opposite of what he said.

  • @markch9v23 So before Jesus there was no love. Thanks for clearing that up!

  • hitler was even once in his life a lover. So is love bad because he did it also?? Intolerance is the problem

    Theism = faith in god??

Do u even know what u critizize? In terms of the christians, i guess so, this bullshtdogma... =) Do u think christianity is a good example for faith? Well, in the case of superstition, yeah. But hinduism for Example causes almost 800 Mio ppl to be vegetarians!

God is called there satcidananda = infinite form(-less form) of existence, awareness and bliss

  • goog job. thanks for countering religious propaganda

  • dude you totally owned them, good job!

  • Changing the topic because you're argument has just been smashed? You wouldn't be a creationist as well would you?

How many innocent children have died and will because of George W Bush's abstinence only policy on STD education in third world countries. Was his policy based on politics or religious conservatism? How many other children in third world countries have died as a result of religious conservatism getting in the way of real answers? How much aid goes towards preaching instead of food?

  • or look up numbers 15:32-36. The Lord ordered a man to be stoned to death for working on a Sunday. You ever mowed your lawn on a Sunday?

There is plenty more where that came from, but I can't be arsed

  • God will happily have naysayers and sinners put to death. Sodom and Gomorrah, creeping death, just to name a couple. There were also instances where he ordered the human killing of other humans.

And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, he shall surely be

put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him : as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he

blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death. - Leviticus 25:16

  • OK, I guess. That sounds logical but, honest suggestion, when you come back with that it makes you sound ultra-weaksauce, and if you don't care what others think then fine, but it makes you sound like you should be the main character in a Seth Rogen or Andy Samberg movie, or like in Napoleon Dynamite: "Your MOM goes to college!"

    Just honest commentary to consider.

  • C'mon, I just gotta know: are you actually for real, or are you trollin' me? There is simply no way somebody would actually come back with that. I really do want to know if you're trying to be funny with this comeback.

  • noobenstein: I was convinced from your delightful comments you were either a troll or a 13-year-old idiot, possibly trying to be a troll.

I just watched one of your videos, and now that I know you're neither 13 nor a troll, just give up. I'm not even trying to insult, honestly, just give up and quit failing and maybe you'll be forgiven.

  • That was very clear.

But I don't particularly feel like it. Its okay to shout like a troll, but should anybody actually call you on it, then there's something wrong with us?

Should I give you your ball back so you can finish playing the sand box? I have an ice cream cone if it will make you fell better.

  • Subscribed.

    Nice work.

  • Your intelligent and precise commentary has explained a clear and rational point of view. Thank you for showing us how important you are.

  • Word dude, nice Video! !

  • Wow, your deep insightful comment has filled me with religious remorse and returned me to the path of Christ. Thank you so much for that well crafted theological argument.

  • no.

  • >>What are the rules for Christians?

Numerous and contradictory. According to the Bible Jesus said the Old testament laws still apply (Matthew 5: 18-19, John7: 19, Luke 16: 17) and that slavery was acceptable (Titus 2: 9-10, 1 Timothy 6: 1-2, Ephesians 6: 5, 1 Peter 2: 18, Colossians 3: 22, Luke 12: 47, ad nauseam).

As for not stealing, the whole Bible is stolen. Flood is the stolen Gilgamesh story, Moses is stolen story of Sargon of Akkad, Cherubim, Beelzebub, Baal are Mesopotamian gods, etc.

  • The rules for atheism is the "golden rule". Do no harm which you wouldn't want to be done to you.

They all broke that rule, unless you're saying they want to be hamed. Looks like they're not Atheists either.

The no true scotsman fallacy is just that because it just pleas to an irrelevant fact.

  • I thought the golden rule for atheism is more like "Don't be an asshole".

  • Comment removed

  • i dunno where this concept of blameless comes from, but i dont think you understand the "no true scotsman fallacy". I dont think i blamed religion for Hitler's actions.

The point isnt whether Hitler did what he did because of his religion. The issue is, was Hitler religious at all. There is plenty of evidence to say he was. If you're saying thats not true, and that "a real christian wouldnt do that", then we can apply the same thing in all the examples you stated.

  • Isnt that the definition of a no-true scotsman fallacy?

You're saying he wasnt something, to preface a particular attribute to grouping while ignoring the fact that an individual belonged to that group.

It doesnt matter what a "true christian" would be...it could be argued that he wasn't a "true atheist" either. Hitler was hitler, but to say he didnt wasnt religious is just ignoring historical evidence.

  • he was always a nazi though. I r teh confuzed.

  • That is one of the best replys to a video i have ever seen on you tube!

    Well done!

  • oh a beautiful rebuttal to the irrational opposing video..

  • Short and sweet.

The invisible, and the non-existent look awfully alike.

  • When did debates on philosophy boil down to a set of scales with all the bad Christians on one side and all the bad atheists on the other? What an endless way to discuss. The doctrines should be the subject, not the men who twisted them to suit their personal agendas. Both sides get way too hung-up on trying to prove how bad MEN have behaved. Who cares? Read the philosophies and decide based on what is True...not on the lack of physical evidence for both theories on how we got here.

  • awesome response. Well put together.

  • Excellent response.

  • Their god has not had a single success yet. He made perfect angels. He made perfect humans on a perfect earth. He had a perfect son. And ALL of them end up tortured and dead. He ends up with a few thousand buddies to lay around paradise with for ever while ALL the rest are destroyed or tortured for eternity. Has there ever been a bigger loser? Ever? Thank Reason it's just an insane delusion. That burning bush that started it all must have been a hell of a hallucinogen! Moses was trippin!
  • Thanks pal. The tide is turning. I spent a year in Europe recently and in The Netherlands they're actually turning churchs into apts. In Copenhagen they're using bell towers as climbing gyms. The tide is turning.

  • Well done. An excellent answer video. Thanks

  • Thank you for correcting that other video on Robespierre.

By the way you should link this video directly in response to the aformentioned cause some people might not find this :). Keep up the good work.

  • I posted it as a video response, but the douchebag who posted the original didn't accept it because he fears criticism.

  • typical, they can deal out criticism but they can't take it

  • You would know, that if somebody says he is vegetarian but he eats MEAT, then he is LYING.

Not exactly the brightest cryon in the box, now are we?

    ;)

  • What the hell are you talking about? You're implying that I'm somehow being hypocritical with this video, but since everything in it is factual and doesn't conflict with my lack of beliefs I don't see where you would derive this conclusion other than pulling it out of your ass, which seems characteristic.

    ;)

  • Dumb ass. Hitler was a Satanist. You should read his biography including his theosophical beliefs based on teaching of Blavatsky.

His belief in Atlantis and that the brutes should rule the world.

What the hell do you think? That if an asshole puts "God with us" on a belt buckle, he becomes Christian?

Just how f... STUPID CAN YOU BE?

  • Ah yes, Pawel Kolasa, I'm very glad your dumb ass commented on my video. You're the guy who made the video where you tried to prove the earth was the center of the universe while simultaneously failing to comprehend even the most basic of physics concepts.

Most Christians think that putting "God with us" on a belt buckle makes them Christian from my personal experience with the hill people of the Appalachians, so maybe you should take it up with Christians rather than me.

  • Can you prove Atlantis doesn't exist?

  • Thank you. I watched that "Tired of hearing about athiesm? Help end it" video and at first I thought it was satire, then I realised that it really was just dump religious propaganda.

Your work of parody has, to some extent, righted the balance.

  • Dude, I love you. :)

  • Far more than 10% of Americans exclude the possibility of the existence of a 13.7 billion year-old invisible "God" who was easily amused by hundreds of millions of years of dinosaurs and such. David Hume disproved the possibility of a creator thru his famous "Dialogues" as have other great thinkers such as Bakunin, Darwin, Dawkins, Hawking, Voltaire, Crick and Watson and so on.

  • Atheists have been prosecuted and killed by theists way more than theists by atheists... hear hear!! Fucking Christian morons, there I said it.. feels better now.

  • Oops, I meant persecuted....

  • Well, atheism has been prosecuted at times when it was illegal too, but that's just a semantics game.

  • I don't know what you are talking about, but I mean that atheistic philosophers were literally killed or punished, or suppressed in the past for their beliefs.

  • I was making somewhat of a pun by stating that they have been both prosecuted and persecuted. They were persecuted, obviously, but this was often done through legal proceedings, or prosecution.

  • Right, woooosssshhhhh, over my head.... Rock on.

  • Secular simply means nonreligious governance. There's no such thing as "secular beliefs." The closest you can come is something like "secularism" which is belief in a separation of church and state, and with a motto like "Gott Mit Uns," I don't think that's what Nazi Germany had.

Mengele wasn't Hitler, he was one of Hitler's employees who acted on his own. His actions do not change Hitler's beliefs, even if that claim is true.

Stalin grew up Georgian Orthodox, btw, and trained to be a priest.

  • I think the best way to say it is "just because someone is an atheist, dosen't mean he's not a dick, and that other atheists don't think of him as a dick". The difference is that atheists are essentially individuals and are responsible for their own actions, as opposed to religious people who can use organised religion to justify or sanction theirs.

  • Well I wish that was true, that I could use my religion to sanction my actions, like you say its true. But let me ask you, if that is true, then why is it still illegal for me to commit murder, buy a slave through human trafficing, stone a homosexual, and so on?, It's is because we have laws, which you could say are against the bible, to protect those who Have been harmed in the past. we learned from our religious mistakes, like science did from illegal experiments on human "subjects".

  • Hitler was once a Catholic, but don't be dense, his true belief, and that of many of the Nazis was NAZISM!!!

  • Nazism isn't a religion, it's a political ideology. Someone can be (and usually is) Christian and a Nazi at the same time. Hitler was both Catholic and a Nazi.

  • Don't forget Vlad Tepes and King George the Third.

  • Fun fact: The original draft of the Declaration of Independence referred to George III as "the Christian King of Great Britain," obviously using the word "Christian" in a negative fashion.

  • Now if only the words "the Christian President of U.S" carries the same negativity.

  • Your video is very apt, however, you could have made an even stronger case for Stalin's atrocities having virtually nothing to do with him being an atheist, purely for the fact that Stalin did NOT kill millions of people in the name of ATHEISM, but in the name of COMMUNISM. His form of communism was just a deity away from being a religion.

He is to be considered an anomaly among despots, because almost all people with absolute power legitimise their position and actions in the name of God.

  • First, thanks for mentioning this. I briefly mentioned him a couple of times in comment responses to others, but I'm glad you've cleared that up for everybody.

I would've harped more on it in this video, but I wanted to keep the whole thing around the same length as the original of which this is a parody/response, plus the ultimate point was that dictators in general have almost unanimously been openly religious, plus that Robespierre wasn't even an atheist.

    Thanks for your input.

  • In all fairness we should show a bit of gratitude towards SOME of jesuses teachings because the sermon on the mount for example was something that influenced people like Ghandi and MLK. In some respects Jesus was ahead of his time. I like to imagine that Jesus was actually just a peace loving man who did not proclaim divinity and that some asshole had to come and make a fan club for him.

  • My philosophy comes as a result of my "belief" or acceptance as you call it of the big bang. Some of my views probably seem very atheistic to the less enlightened among us. I don't believe my "first cause" played any part in the origin of life. If my "God" is an intelligent being it might not be aware of our existence because the universe is so vast that it would be a miracle for life not to come about.

I know that was fairly irrelevant but I felt like sharing my new found view on that.

  • I liked your video though. Deists are on the atheists side in this e-war against ignorance. Deism is just a philosophy or thought like atheism. It does not require any leap of faith.

  • Thanks. Agreed.

  • Deism is a rejection of theism or revealed religion. That dude was just a douche bag who just used his reason when thinking about God. Thomas Paine a man truly ahead of his time was a deist. He was against slavery and although helped in the french revolution opposed the beheading of louis the 16th because he thought he deserved a fair trial. Deism is nothing like christianity, not even a similar deity. Deism is just an off shoot of agnosticism where one recognizes a first cause of the universe.

  • Define "first cause." I'm very much a strong atheist, but I accept the Big Bang (note that I carefully choose to say "accept" rather than "believe," because there is a distinction, as I'm sure you know).

Overall, though, I feel we're indebted to the philosophes of the Enlightenment.

  • A think there was something that set the universe into motion. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction so I think some force(could be intelligent or unintelligent I don't claim to know as an agnostic)did something to set off the big bang.

I do wonder though that if time and space have always been then there is no real need for a God. I think it's occams razor(I might be wrong) that would cut off God if that could be proven.

  • HAHA this is pure gold

  • Atheism-led regimes of terror

Hitler's' Nazi Germany sent priests to death camps. Hitler used religion as guise to get through the population of 1930's Germany. After 1939, no more God for the Germans.

The Atheistic USSR butchered MILLIONS in the name of "reason" and "progress"

Mao's Red China outlawed all religion and destroyed anybody who got in the way of "progress". China still persecutes Christianity today.

    ATHEISM = IRRATIONALISM

    GOD SAVE THE POPE!

  • God save ME! I have just as much authority as the Pope, just less people who believe that I'm God's go-to guy.

The Pope's regime back around the turn of the 2nd Millennium killed thousands of people, a far harder hit to the lower population of the time, in the Crusades, including tens of thousands of unarmed altar boys he thought God wouldn't let die in battle.

Communist atheism isn't real atheism. They replaced religion in those countries with unbridled, ignorant patriotism, for control.

  • God the Almighty has made our nation. By defending its existence we are defending His work....

-Adolf Hitler, in a radio address, 30 Jan. 1945

Looks like you're wrong Pat. Way wrong.

  • Sounds like it.

  • To PatThePort: What about the pact made as soon as Hitler was in power between the Nazis and the Vatican? What about the disbanding of all political activities that would be anti-nazi by the vatican? What about the fact that Hitler's birthday was celebrated by the Catholic churches in Germany? Get your facts staight. The Catholic church is homophobic, anti-semitic, and anti-feminist. Atheism is the opposite of rationalism. Religion is the embodiment of irrational.

  • Very lame and misleading. Hitler was NOT a Christian (and I seriously doubt that the klansman is a true believer). In fact, Hitler used evolution/Darwinism to justify his racist ideas that put so many Jews in the gas chambers and ovens. It's seldom publicized, but Hitler also killed many evangelical Christians such as Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Your video demonstrates a poor understanding of history.

  • And the video to which this video is a response demonstrates an even POORER understanding of history in favor of your (obviously stupid) beliefs.

  • Actually, you should check your history. Hitler was Christian, and he said it. Look it up.

  • In HItler's own words:

"In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison...As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice."

    (from a 1922 speech)

  • Hitler used Social Darwinism to justify his killing of the Jews.

Social Darwinism was just some stupid idea that was thought up by a couple of american tycoons in the late 1800's.

And Klansmen are actually Christian fundamentalists. In the Bible it does say that all evil doers wouled turn black. Which is why they kill black people.

Stop cherry pickng your way through your bible. If your going to, just leave that religion. Don;t be hypocrit.

  • actually social darwinism is a very misleading name. It is the opposite of natural selection.

  • What are you implying?

I do know that Social Darwinism is the opposite of natural selection.

  • Another misleading video against theism. Many have killed in the name of evolution (atheism) meaning communism, stalinism, capitalism, humanism etc. A completely godless world would be even worse.

  • None of those have anything to do in the slightest with evolution and you know it. In fact, Stalin intentionally held back Soviet science for his entire lifetime because he specifically did not believe in genetics or evolution.

Add to that the fact that atheism and evolution do not go hand-in-hand (the atheist Raelians are also creationists and evolution only deals with life that already exists and could have been made by a god) and you look pretty damn stupid.

  • "evolution (atheism)"

Why do you link the two as if one had anything in the slightest to do with the other?

Many non-atheists accept evolution as compatibile with religion (the Pope, to name a trivial one).

Atheism pre-dates evolution by several millenia, so clearly one is not a requirement of the other.

  • Bravo . . . nicely done.

  • also, as well, leave robespierre out of this!

  • If you would kindly go look at the video this is in response to, you'd see why I used Robespierre--because the other video did.

And at any rate, why should I "leave robespierre out of this?"

  • oh, well, i said the same thing to the person on the other video and it was funny at the time

and it's not like robespierre is the ultimate evil. you know. he had.. integrity. and it wasn't just him carrying out the terror.

  • Honestly, I have no clue why they used him anyway. I mean, even if you take him as the epitome of evil, he's still not even close to being the worst dictator in history. I would have expected them to use Stalin or somebody.

  • wtf? there have been many people killed in the name of religion

but hitler could hardly be an example of someone like that

in no way was his regime catholic

  • Hitler was what Hitler was.

  • hitler and the vatican were tight, they even helped ship important officers to south america to avoid war crimes trials.

hitler agreed that christianity was to be taught to all the german children. yeah, so hitler was catholic.

  • I think people bring up Hitler's use of christianity a lot simply to counter the argument that he was atheist, which comes up surprisingly often. also he claimed he used christianity as a way of convincing people to believe him.

  • If you read his writings, he mentions how he uses christianity, he was not a believer, only in its 'power' and he was into the occult. Hitler wanted to rule without religion, as he also wrote about. He motivation was a vision of a hitler world, he did what he did in the name of Ego, and secularism, not religion.

  • Eh, it wasnt until 1941 that he publically condemned christianity (two years after Pius XI died). Pius XI was a enormous supporter of Germany, and even blessed Hitler in 1934. Hitler embraced the catholic church from 1934-41 by offering various subsidies and even allocating many of the siezed properties from the jews to them. Pius' sucessor was pro-Allies, and anti-Hitler btw.

Where did he write what you claim he wrote? I'm curious.

  • uh... by what stretch of the imagination do you equate the occult with secularism? Hitler had MANY superstitious non-secular beliefs...

  • The author of this video is going to get sick of reading this, and I'm getting sick of saying it. Why don't you actually download Mein Kampf in english and READ it. Or at least, search for Christ and God. Hitler was a christian, he believed in a christian god and he believed that exterminating the Jews was God's will as punishment for forsaking him and his word, and hanging his son by the cross. But don't take my word for it. Download the english translation (you can find it for free) and search

  • Well it WAS generally christian.

  • Very nicely done, my friend! I couldn't have said better myself (in fact, go back and look - I didn't). The video you're referring to was ignorant from start to finish and only made a stronger case for Atheism.

  • Man, that Pat Robertson is as spinny as a

    sh.t house rat.

    Bush is right behind him.

  • All the atrocities in the bible that god supposedly ordered his followers to do came from man himself.

This came about by man using his god delusion

claiming the orders came from god.

When a person has a delusion and this delusion

orders him to kill, he does so without question.

When he gets caught, his lawyer makes an insanity plea, stating that his client`s delusion caused him to do the killing.

This is what religion, god and it`s bible is.

    An insane delusion.

  • Damn straight. Glad to see somebody else gets it.

  • What an awsome responce dude. My hero.

  • I calls 'em as I sees 'em.

  • BRAVO! Great video :). Keep on making them:)

  • Dankeschoen.

  • Great video, but there is a reason nobody is quoting Robert Ingersoll in today's mainstream discourse. Ingersoll's oratory was relevant prior to 1900 when religion was the primary cause for unnatural death. I cite the statistics of the 20th century dictators as one the main reasons why disbelief has still been relegated to the fringes of modern discourse. Problem is, the apologists can keep citing these facts and people will be appalled by them, which makes them ripe for conversion.

  • While all dictators had cults of personality that were arguably anti-religious, only the Communists were "atheist," and only then it was to replace religious devotion with loyalty to the state, not for any of the reasons most atheists are atheists today.

Also, Hitler was a Catholic, as I mentioned, and I don't think I need to point out how Catholic Franco was, or the various South American dictators were.

  • Hitler seems to have rejected his Catholicism when he became an adult, but that doesn't mean he didn't believe in a deity. According to one website, I found Hitler to be a man who was a rationalist and a materialist more than anything else.

From my travels across the 'net, the only official 'atheist' state was Albania under the iron fist of Enver Hoxha. WHile his regime was bloody, he executed 100,000 people compared to Hitler's and Stalin's regimes.

  • I think the underlying denominator here is "the cult of personality". No matter the belief of the powerful individual, any dissent is likely to bet met with a wholly, repressive unequal show of force. This is the hallmark of any powerful regent, be them theist or antitheist.

The only system that seem to thrive with secularism are the ones that ALLOW religious practice. A recent poll suggested that the mainline Protestant churches are about lose out to non-religion.

  • I completely agree with the first paragraph.

With the second, I also agree, because religious preference of any sort in government, including oppressing all of them, is essentially declaring something crimethink and it's just not possible nor is it ethical to attempt to censor thoughts. Anyone can and should believe whatever they want; however, I also hope that they will trend toward logical reasoning, lest they fall into the patterns of 10th Century Europe.

  • This still does not change the fact that Hitler did indeed put the words "God with us" on Nazi uniforms, meaning that he at least wanted to be insured lest there be a vengeful deity.

A lot of things in Communist countries were based on practice as opposed to theory. Stalin often times didn't even hold an official position outside of head of the CPSU (similar to the positions of Howard Dean and Ken Mehlman today, not to call them Stalin-esque), but he still remained dictator.

  • I believe that Hitler knew the added power a

deity would add to his presence among the people Hitler controlled.

The people under control would see this deity

as a sure sign that Hitler was like a god.

  • I like it. Very nice... this is sean by the way.

  • There have been people using God to further their ridiculous ideals. That doesn't mean that they're completely wrong.

Hitler was an evolutionist this is wrong, that he thought certain people ape is wrong, that he murdered them because of them is wrong.

Calling Bush a "monkey man" is also wrong and you are guilty of the same kind of predjudice that Hitler had.

  • Yeah, clearly I'm the same thing as Hitler. I just hope you don't find the millions of dead Jews in my basement that obviously must exist, because I dared criticize our shitty president, therefore making me Hitler.

First off, this video was made as a response to a shittier video making similar claims about atheists who weren't even actually atheists. Maybe you should, I dunno, go watch it first?

There is no such thing as "evolutionism," by the way.

  • ALL of the events/people in this video have manipulated people using their ignorance. They are just using God as an excuse to do all those things. And still, you can NEVER end theism.

  • I will only beg to differ on Hitler. The man wasn't a Christian, Catholic, or any type of theist at all as far as I am aware. In fact, it's quite the opposite. Hitler only used religious rhetoric to get certain groups in Germany to side with him and his cause. His REAL cause and his real beliefs were that of Eugenics (and it SHOWS! Hello? Holocaust!), which at the time were a branch from evolutionary theory. Computers themselves were first invented by Nazi Eugenics work.

  • Download Mein Kamf in english, and search for God and Christ. There are plenty of references to God, Christ, bible quotes, etc. Hitler believed in God, Christ, and if you believe the bible and it's words his justifications are sound and half sane. If you don't then his words are that of a deranged madman. It was not about genetics, or eugenics, but about exterminating the abomination to God's image. He says so several times. Read it.

  • Okay, so just because HE translated it out into such a diluted, twisted representation of it's true meaning, NO ONE should believe in the word of ANY God?

    And people think I'M crazy!

  • @jformaldehydem Excellent points about Mein Kampf (18 months ago, sorry). But you don't have to download it unless you're going to read the whole thing (I doubt many will). Just go to a site that has it all up as a searchable text.

Christians who smugly repeat the lie that Hitler was a Darwinist "and, seriously, references him like at least 5 times in Mein Kampf" should go and enter "Darwin" in the search field. He's not mentioned once. His work was actually banned under the Nazis.

  • this video is a spoof of another video natexp3, which says all athiests are bad because they dont deny things which are proven.

  • dankeschön

  • Hitler and many others used or abused religion for their own purposes. This is not a reason to use them as examples against religion, because they probably weren't religios. Religion opposes murder and lying, that's a fact, even if there is sometimes some hypocrisy. I don't believe in god, but there's nothing wrong with believing in him, because this reduces the risk in believing in humans, which is worse.

  • OK, but the entire purpose of this video was as a response to the video linked in the Description which gave Maximilien Robespierre as an example of an "atheist" and why atheism is evil since he killed people as ruler of France.

  • Maybe Hitler wasn't a theist but are you telling me that among the entire Nazi army not one solider was killing with the IDEA that he was following gods plan? As for religion opposing murder and lying, have you ever read a religious text? I could fire off a line of quotes that shows my point but I fear it would fall on deaf ears.

  • Why don't you try reading Mein Kapf some time (there are english translations out there). Or at the very least, just download it in text format and search for "God", and "Christ". Hitler not only believed in God, but he believed Jews to be the enemy of God through their past and then present actions. He also had an issue with prostitution and other such "debaucheries". As far as Hitler was concerned, he was defending God's honour which according to the bible, justifies the killings.
