i love horrors+have been watchin them since i was very small so ive never been scared of any but the 1 movie that unnerves me is carrie.at the end when the hand comes out the grave and the girl screamin in bed-its not the imagary but the music.the music just freaks me out,i have 2 turn down the tv.my son thinks im mad+takes the piss out of me 4 it.sleepawaycamp is an awesome endin.pity its not on the countdown.
Hahaha i agree host the wizard is like a bedtime story though i gotta say when i was a kid the guy with the huge head which is the wizard of oz scared when i was a kid that is.
Damn man those bald guys who are grinning aren't scary their just nervy and retarded looking it makes me wanna reach through the monitor and beat the fuck outta them.
"Hellraiser" is one of the GREATEST horror films ever made! Pinhead is the best looking demon ever.
"The Thing" (1982) is one of my top 5 favorite films of all time. John Carpenter is a GENIUS! The effects in that film are unbelievable. So far ahead of it's time.
@mrcaliman95 yes! IMO. it's like the shining, everyone goes on about it, you sit down to watch it in good faith and it's shite! would choose dog soldiers or the black and white film the spiral staircase over don't look now anytime.
@nicelydone31 its called scary moments not scary movies so i can see why its in the list, movie wasnt that great though gotta agree with you there, the sex scene was insanely graphic for its time though so it had its good points for teenage boys in the 70's lol
@Redderson4571 First time I saw it, I hid in the hallway for a large portion of it. Seeing it now isn't scary at all, but back when I was young, yeah, it topped my scary movie moments.
@RocketeerAndRoll They are not racist at all, they are very intelligent people with a love of horror. It's just that their style of humour does not appeal to everyone.
@kerrigor778 It's hilariously, but IRONICALLY, racis (an obvious critique and explosion of racial tension and struggle during the '60s and '70s), an important distinction. Like Rocketeer, I have never seen the League of Gentleman, so that clip out of context just looks like a blackface minstrel impersonation, which is a rather racist icon of the southern States. I don't know if the comedy troupe was playing off that, or if it was coincidence.
@mamasaid0 The author of The League of Gentlemen (BFI TV Classics) describes that character Papa Lazarou as 'the return of the repressed of light entertainment'. It seems unbelievable now, but in the UK there was a TV programme called 'The Black & White Minstrel Show' which had white performers with black make-up like the character. Ran for 20 years from 1958.
@RocketeerAndRoll I tend to think part of his appearance based on the fact that blackface is just generally creepy. I remember avoiding a certain page in a book I had about film making, because it had pictures from The Jazz Singer, and I couldn't stand that literally black face with garish cartoony features.
So glad to finally watch a countdown that has Twin Peaks in it. Funny, eerie, strange and completely terrifying at the same time. Bob is hands down THE most scary horror character. EVER!
wasnt fussed on 28 days later.they filmed some of it where i live in wales.i love the start where is walkin thru london.

"Smoking moms fags" LMFAO! I know what it means but that cracked me the fuck up because it's not something we say over here.
"Silence of the Lambs" is one of the most intelligent, brilliant and suspensful films ever made.
"Carrie" (1976) - LEGENDARY!
Buffy should not be on this countdown
The flying monkeys scared the shit out of me as a kid.
"Don't Look Now" is one trippy ass film
