  • i love horrors+have been watchin them since i was very small so ive never been scared of any but the 1 movie that unnerves me is carrie.at the end when the hand comes out the grave and the girl screamin in bed-its not the imagary but the music.the music just freaks me out,i have 2 turn down the tv.my son thinks im mad+takes the piss out of me 4 it.sleepawaycamp is an awesome endin.pity its not on the countdown.

  • the wizard of oz used to terrify me. i had nightmares of the witch all the time.

  • SCREAM

  • it really pisses me off that they show the ending to don't look now

ruins one of the best shock endings ever

  • i can'r belive i was witing for the thing remake and in the end it was a let down Effects look completely fake

  • 28 days later yeah classic and very scary......sequel rules as well

  • Scream 4 sucked ass big time i had it on my psp but then i thought what a hep of bulllshit i all ended with 3

  • Hahaha i agree host the wizard is like a bedtime story though i gotta say when i was a kid the guy with the huge head which is the wizard of oz scared when i was a kid that is.

  • Damn man those bald guys who are grinning aren't scary their just nervy and retarded looking it makes me wanna reach through the monitor and beat the fuck outta them.

  • Buffy director just to let you know none of them series are scary just shitty acting and shitty story telling.

  • anthony hopkins never blinks throughout the whole movie

  • i'd hate to come face to face with that dwarf woman wielding a razor freakyyyy.

  • I remember the first time i watched Hush...so friggin scary!

  • <3

  • "Hellraiser" is one of the GREATEST horror films ever made! Pinhead is the best looking demon ever.

"The Thing" (1982) is one of my top 5 favorite films of all time. John Carpenter is a GENIUS! The effects in that film are unbelievable. So far ahead of it's time.

  • Thank you so much for uploading these.

"Smoking moms fags" LMFAO! I know what it means but that cracked me the fuck up because it's not something we say over here.

"Silence of the Lambs" is one of the most intelligent, brilliant and suspensful films ever made.

    "Carrie" (1976) - LEGENDARY!

Buffy should not be on this countdown

The flying monkeys scared the shit out of me as a kid.

"Don't Look Now" is one trippy ass film

  • The Thing had THE craziest Shit Ever!!!!

  • Scream isnt fucking scary, its stupid and silly

  • @warwick2155 It's not scary, but it's not stupid either. It's actually, very imaginative, and original while cliched.

  • @GialloHorror maybe but it shouldnt be in this list

  • Don't Look Now has to be the silliest overrated nonsense I ever saw. it's not even scary!!!!

  • @nicelydone31 dont look now overrated?

  • @mrcaliman95 yes! IMO. it's like the shining, everyone goes on about it, you sit down to watch it in good faith and it's shite! would choose dog soldiers or the black and white film the spiral staircase over don't look now anytime.

  • @nicelydone31 its called scary moments not scary movies so i can see why its in the list, movie wasnt that great though gotta agree with you there, the sex scene was insanely graphic for its time though so it had its good points for teenage boys in the 70's lol

  • @nicelydone31 You sir, are a moron.

  • @nicelydone31 dog soldiers was not scary it was a excellent film but i was not scared more or less intertained

  • I LOVE BLAZING SADDLES!!! LMAO

  • My 2nd favourite horror film - No. 20

My 9th favourite horror film - No. 19

And my favourite thriller - No. 28

I love this collaboration that channel 4 did. I hope they update...

  • Never been as scared as the first time I saw The Thing-just the sheer isolation, fear, paranoia-unrivalled to the day

  • I watched The Silence Of The Lambs today. I love it x3

  • The Initiative was a really dumb idea mutated from a great one. C'est la vie.

  • There are rumours about making a remake of Carrie with Lindsay Lohan playing the part...seriously -_-

  • That's kinda cool that hellraiser is in the same place on US and UK list.

  • I have always liked buffy, but it has never been scary

  • I envy anhone who's seen Carrie recently for the first time. Because the end is so great.

  • The Wizard Of Oz... Are you serious?!

  • @Redderson4571 First time I saw it, I hid in the hallway for a large portion of it. Seeing it now isn't scary at all, but back when I was young, yeah, it topped my scary movie moments.

  • I've never heard of League of Gentleman...is it supposed to be racist?

  • @RocketeerAndRoll They are not racist at all, they are very intelligent people with a love of horror. It's just that their style of humour does not appeal to everyone.

  • @RocketeerAndRoll If you want to see something racist watch Blazing Saddles, (in my opinion) one of the funniest movies ever made

  • @kerrigor778 It's hilariously, but IRONICALLY, racis (an obvious critique and explosion of racial tension and struggle during the '60s and '70s), an important distinction. Like Rocketeer, I have never seen the League of Gentleman, so that clip out of context just looks like a blackface minstrel impersonation, which is a rather racist icon of the southern States. I don't know if the comedy troupe was playing off that, or if it was coincidence.

  • @mamasaid0 The author of The League of Gentlemen (BFI TV Classics) describes that character Papa Lazarou as 'the return of the repressed of light entertainment'. It seems unbelievable now, but in the UK there was a TV programme called 'The Black & White Minstrel Show' which had white performers with black make-up like the character. Ran for 20 years from 1958.

  • @RocketeerAndRoll No, it's just British.

  • @RocketeerAndRoll The black face is certainly extremely racist. Which makes it more unsettling.

  • @RocketeerAndRoll Black humour isnt making fun of black people lol its dark, dry, sarcastic humour.

  • @RocketeerAndRoll I tend to think part of his appearance based on the fact that blackface is just generally creepy. I remember avoiding a certain page in a book I had about film making, because it had pictures from The Jazz Singer, and I couldn't stand that literally black face with garish cartoony features.

  • JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!

  • the thing IS the scariest movie ever

  • So glad to finally watch a countdown that has Twin Peaks in it. Funny, eerie, strange and completely terrifying at the same time. Bob is hands down THE most scary horror character. EVER!

  • Hush was the only time i screamed out loud while is was watching Buffy. The Gentlemen are just creepy.

  • Bit at the end talking about the title of the film "thing" made me laugh :P
