i love horrors+have been watchin them since i was very small so ive never been scared of any but the 1 movie that unnerves me is carrie.at the end when the hand comes out the grave and the girl screamin in bed-its not the imagary but the music.the music just freaks me out,i have 2 turn down the tv.my son thinks im mad+takes the piss out of me 4 it.sleepawaycamp is an awesome endin.pity its not on the countdown.

"Hellraiser" is one of the GREATEST horror films ever made! Pinhead is the best looking demon ever.

"The Thing" (1982) is one of my top 5 favorite films of all time. John Carpenter is a GENIUS! The effects in that film are unbelievable. So far ahead of it's time.

@kerrigor778 It's hilariously, but IRONICALLY, racis (an obvious critique and explosion of racial tension and struggle during the '60s and '70s), an important distinction. Like Rocketeer, I have never seen the League of Gentleman, so that clip out of context just looks like a blackface minstrel impersonation, which is a rather racist icon of the southern States. I don't know if the comedy troupe was playing off that, or if it was coincidence.

@mamasaid0 The author of The League of Gentlemen (BFI TV Classics) describes that character Papa Lazarou as 'the return of the repressed of light entertainment'. It seems unbelievable now, but in the UK there was a TV programme called 'The Black & White Minstrel Show' which had white performers with black make-up like the character. Ran for 20 years from 1958.

I remember avoiding a certain page in a book I had about film making, because it had pictures from The Jazz Singer, and I couldn't stand that literally black face with garish cartoony features.
