"whites" ...... term used for amphetamines during the seventies... This term was mainly used by truckers, who used "whites" to stay awake for long trips....
@Celluloidkid - Yeah, and Lowell George (who wrote this song) used a few too many of those whites and such...did him in when he collapsed in his hotel room....a goner!...Too bad, he was amazingly talented. He said he was fired by Zappa for writing this song, because it was about drugs and such. At least that's what it says on his Wiki page.
